TRAVEL TIME - TRANSPORTATION - EXPENSES. 13.01 (a) Travel Time Paid At Straight Time – Travel time during the employee's regular shift hours, will be at straight time. All travel time for Saturday and Sunday and any General Holiday will be paid at time and one-half to a maximum of eight (8) hours in any twenty-four (24) hour period. Waiting time during the employee's regular shift hours shall be paid at straight time. Waiting time during the employee's regular hours, on Saturday, Sunday, or any General Holiday shall be paid for at time and one half (1-1/2) to a maximum of eight (8) hours in any twenty-four (24) hour period.
TRAVEL TIME - TRANSPORTATION - EXPENSES. 13.01 Employees who are required to travel beyond their normal mileage to and from work shall be paid for the time taken to travel such extra mileage at the regular rate. If employees are instructed to call for material or equipment at the Company shop, this travelling time shall be done on the Company's time. Rates of pay and hours of work for all outside work shall include the established field rate of premium. 13.02 Time worked in excess of regular hours of work as herein specified shall be considered as overtime and paid for at double the employee's straight time hourly rate except as provided below: (a) All travel time to be paid at the regular rate of pay, it being understood that if an employee leaves from work at the Company's request and his total hours of work and travel exceed eight (8) hours, he will be paid time and one-half for the travel time involved beyond eight (8) hours. (b) Travel time occurring when requested by the Company to take place on Scheduled Day Off or General Holidays shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half, based on appropriate field rate of pay. (c) Employees who leave the dealership and return within the same day shall be paid their regular rate plus the field rate for the hours worked in the field.

For the purpose of this Article, travel time is defined as time spent traveling between a branch location to a job that is not located at a branch location, and must be pre-authorized by the Company. (ii) Travel time authorized by the company, outside the employee's regular shift hours, Monday to Friday, will be paid for at time and one-half up to a maximum of eight (8) hours in any twenty-four (24) hour period. (iii) All travel time for Saturday and Sunday and any holiday will be paid for at time and one-half to a maximum of eight (8) hours in any twenty-four (24) hour period. (iv) The exception to this provision would be where first class sleeping accommodation is provided. In this instance, time would cease at 9:00 p.m., and commence at 8:00 a.m., the next day. (a) Travel time at double time rates shall be paid outside the regular hours of work for those employees traveling in Company or rented trucks or cars. This provision shall not apply when an employee is traveling by a public carrier or to and from a public carrier. (b) Public carriers shall be defined as follows: buses, taxis, aircraft, trains, boats and any vehicle licensed to transport passengers and operated by a licensed operator (exclusive of Company trucks or cars mentioned in (v) (a) preceding). (c) Buses, aircraft or boats that may be chartered or purchased by the Company to transport employees shall be licensed to transport passengers and operated by an operator holding a current appropriate license to do so. (d) Travel time by employees outside the regular shift hours under (v) (b) preceding shall be at time and one-half, as defined in (ii), (iii) and (iv). (e) The exception to this provision would be where first class sleeping accommodation is provided while traveling on a public conveyance. In this instance, time would cease at 9:00 p.m., and commence at 8:00 a.m., the next day. (f) Travel time will not attract premiums.

WORK OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS: (a) In going to work outside the limits of the lower mainland and returning daily, men shall be at such city limits at the starting time, and allowed time to return to such city limits at the close of the work day. They shall be paid all fares to and from the city limits to place of work, or alternatively, be supplied with transportation by the Company. It is understood that where employees reside in the city where the work is being done, they shall report to and finish work at the regular starting and stopping time. All time spent driving or riding in a motor vehicle to and from such job or jobs shall be considered as time worked. STANDBY TIME: If an employee reports to a field job outside the Greater Vancouver area and through no fault of his own, is unable to work, he shall immediately contact the Company for instructions. Nevertheless, while being required to stand by the job, he shall be paid for a regular shift of eight (8) hours in each twenty-four (24). October to April 30,2010) LAYOVER TIME: Where an employee is required to remain in the field on Saturday, Sunday or a General Holiday, he shall be paid eight (8) hours for each such day at straight time rates. However, where an employee cannot reasonably return to the shop or their residence on the same day, the employee will have the option of staying overnight and returning the next day, during normal working hours. Where the employee reasonably elects to stay overnight and return the following day, the Company will cover the reasonable costs of meals and accommodation.

  • Transportation Reimbursement Employees who, during the course of their normal duties, are required to actually transport clients/consumers/felons in their own personal vehicle on a regular basis, are eligible for reimbursement for the cost of an automobile rider to their existing insurance policy. To be eligible for the reimbursement, the employee must demonstrate the following: 1. That he/she is normally required to transport clients/consumers/felons in the course of their duties. 2. That there is no access to or available State vehicles. 3. That public transportation cannot be used. 4. That their insurance company requires a special rider on their existing automobile policy. 5. Proof that such a rider has been purchased. 6. Proof of a valid driver’s license and insurance policy. By receiving such reimbursement, employees acknowledge that they may be required to use their own personal vehicle to transport clients/consumers/felons in the normal course of their duties. The reimbursement to such employee(s) is the actual cost of the rider not to exceed seventy-five dollars ($75) per year whichever is less. This reimbursement will be paid on a yearly basis in the pay period that includes July 1st. Employees who either resign, retire, or have their employment terminated during the year and employees who start during any part of the year will have the reimbursement prorated. In the case of employees who either retire, resign, or have their employment terminated will have that portion of the reimbursement repaid to the State, in the last paycheck.

  • Relocation Expenses The Company shall promptly reimburse the Executive for all relocation expenses as described below. The Company will only pay for reasonable broker fees in connection with the sale of the Executive’s existing residence, reasonable out-of-pocket fees and expenses but not taxes payable in connection with such sale (other than transfer taxes), the packing and moving of all household goods and shipment of three automobiles based upon a competitive bid obtained through the Company’s human resources department, and fees and expenses, but not broker fees or mortgage financing fees in excess of two points, in connection with the purchase of a residence. The Executive shall be entitled to the preceding relocation expenses as long as they are incurred within eighteen (18) months of such determination to relocate (the “Commencement Date”). Between the Commencement Date and the earlier of (1) the date the Executive’s family relocates or (2) six months after the Commencement Date (the “Transition Period”), the Executive may make no more than fifteen round trips by air at the Company’s expense to commute to his last residence or such other place as Executive shall determine. The Executive will also be reimbursed for reasonable expenses associated with commuting during the Transition Period, including two trips to any such new location for his spouse for purposes of relocation-related planning, and for temporary housing and rental car expenses at any such new location. In respect of the two trips to the new location for the Executive’s spouse, the Company will reimburse the Executive for first-class travel arrangements for the Executive’s spouse only. The Executive will be entitled to receive an additional payment to cover any federal, state, and local income taxes that he incurs in connection with any reimbursement for relocation expenses that are not tax deductible. The Executive will be entitled to reimbursement for miscellaneous household expenses incurred in connection with the relocation in order to put the Executive’s new residence into move-in condition in an amount not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00).

  • Travel Expenses CONTRACTOR shall not be allowed or paid travel expenses unless set forth in this Agreement.

  • Travel Expense Reimbursement Pricing for services provided under this Contract are exclusive of any travel expenses that may be incurred in the performance of those services.
