The College aims to ensure that every student has the best possible chance of success and a full declaration of this commitment can be found in The Student Charter which is available in full in the Student Handbook. Learning Agreement. The Learning Agreement provides a broad framework for developing an individualized learning plan which is responsive to the needs of the student and the resources of the field agency. It is designed to give direction and learning structure to the field experience and is developed around the core practice competencies that are designated in the 2008 Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS) by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). It is the joint responsibility of the Student and Field Instructor to negotiate the learning agreement content within the first weeks of the field placement. The Student is responsible for providing a copy of the Learning Agreement to the Field Liaison. The Learning Agreement establishes learning objectives for the students that are feasible and attainable and serves as a tool to identify what the student will learn and what activities will be a part of the placement experience. The process of formulating a learning agreement also provides an early opportunity for students to take an active role in shaping their own learning and for students and field instructors to develop a good working relationship with each other. The agreement is considered to be a working document and should serve as a guide for supervision throughout the year. There are two components to the learning agreement:

Find out about the courses on offer at your host university before you go and discuss it with your Erasmus Departmental Co- ordinator and/or the accreditation commissioner at FAU. In most cases, you are required to take courses amounting to 20–30 ECTS credits per semester (guideline amount). If your Erasmus Departmental Co-ordinator or your host university requires you to take more ECTS credits, you must choose additional courses from those on offer which amount to the required additional credits. The Learning Agreement has to be completed before your departure. The Central Office for International Affairs is not authorised to sign the Learning Agreement as Departmental Co-ordinator and may only sign it in exceptional cases where the signature of the Institutional Co-ordinator is required. Please use the FAU template if possible. The Learning Agreement is on pages 1 to 2 of the template. Page 3 should be used to record any changes that are made to your course programme at a later date. Page 4-5 contains information to help you fill in the document. Please make sure you obtain the required signatures and stamps from all parties. We will not accept incomplete documents and will not forward them to your Erasmus Departmental Co- ordinator. DEADLINE: pages 1–2 must be submitted no later than 15 August 2019 for mobility periods starting in the winter semester 2019/20 and 15 December 2019 for mobility periods beginning in the summer semester 2020. Learning Agreement. The individual study plan is defined in the Learning Agreement between the tutor and the student. The student discusses the choice of courses in the category Core Courses with his/her tutor, fills out and submits the Learning Agreement on myStudies. The tutor can approve it or request changes. In both cases, the student is informed by email. If the tutor requests changes, the student has to update and resubmit the Learning Agreement. The courses for the categories Multidisciplinary Courses and Science in Perspective are not included in the Learning Agreement. The Learning Agreement must be submitted on myStudies and approved by the tutor within 3 weeks after the start of the semester. The final version must be submitted before enrolling in the Master’s Thesis. xxx.xxxx.xxxx.xx/xxxxxxx/xxx/xxxx/xxxxxxx-xxxxxxxx/xxxx/xxxxxxxxxx- dam/studium/master- programs/documents/myStudies_Tutor%20selection%20and%20Learning%20Ag reement.pdf
Learning Agreement. The Learning Agreement must include all the educational components to be carried out by the student at the receiving institution (in table A) and it must contain as well the set of components to be replaced at sending institution upon successful completion by the student (in table B). Additional rows can be added as needed to tables A and B. The student is recommended to take educational components totalling a minimum of 18 ECTS credits per semester. In case the student would follow additional educational components above the required number of ECTS credits needed for his/her degree curriculum, these additional credits must also be contained in the study programme outlined in table A. The sending institution must fully recognise the number of ECTS credits contained in table A and any exception to this rule should be documented in an annex of the Learning Agreement and agreed by all parties (i.e. in case of additional educational components above the required number of ECTS credits needed for the degree curriculum). The sending institution must foresee which provisions will apply in case some educational components would not be successfully completed by the student. All parties must sign the document; however, there is no need to circulate papers with original signatures because scanned copies of signatures or digital signatures are recognised. Departmental coordinator or responsible person at the sending institution is an academic staff who has the authority to approve the mobility programme of outgoing students and guarantee full recognition of such programmes on behalf of the responsible academic body. Departmental coordinator or responsible person at the receiving institution is an academic staff who has the authority to approve the mobility programme of incoming students and is committed to give them academic support in the course of their studies at the receiving institution. * In countries where the "ECTS" system it is not in place, in particular for institutions located in partner countries not participating in the Bologna process, "ECTS" needs to be replaced in all tables by the name of the equivalent system that is used.
