Leave for Examinations. (a) Leave of absence with pay shall be granted to allow employees time to write examinations for courses approved by the Employer. Employees shall advise the Employer of the time and place of the examination when they are made aware of the time and place.
(b) Employees shall be permitted to write any in-service examination required by the Employer, upon satisfactory completion of the necessary term of service and training programs. Employees who fail an in-service examination shall, upon request and where available, receive a copy of their examination paper and shall be eligible to be re-examined. This provision shall not apply to examinations set as a condition of initial employment.
(c) Where workloads permit, employees shall be granted reasonable time during the regular workday to prepare for examinations in order to complete courses offered by the College for the employees. The parties recognize, however, that employees who avail themselves of the provisions of this clause have a responsibility to devote some of their own time to prepare themselves for such examinations.
Leave for Examinations. Employees eligible for comprehensive leave benefits shall be entitled to necessary time off with pay for the purpose of taking County qualifying or promotional examinations. This shall include time required to complete any required interviews.
Leave for Examinations. One (1) day leave of absence with pay per year shall be granted upon request to a teacher for the purpose of writing a university examination related to professional improvement.
Leave for Examinations. Subject to operational requirements, leave of absence without loss of regular earnings shall be granted to allow an employee to write examinations for courses required by the Employer.
Leave for Examinations. 9.04.6.1 Leave of absence for one day without loss of pay, experience, seniority, and benefits under Article VIII (Benefits) will be granted to a Teacher to write an examination, written to improve his/her professional or academic qualifications.
Leave for Examinations. For the purpose of writing a final examination toward a university degree, college diploma, or for a higher professional certificate, permanent employees will be granted, without loss of pay or deduction of sick leave credit, the full day during which the examination is written if the examination is written locally during the day. If the examination is not written locally, but is written on a regular work day, two (2) days will be granted, on the same conditions. Where an examination is written on a weekend but not locally, one (1) day will be granted on the same conditions.
Leave for Examinations. Employees shall be entitled to up to one (1) day of leave with pay, per term, when writing examinations to upgrade employment-related qualifications.

(1) day of leave with pay when writing examinations to upgrade employment- related qualifications, to a maximum of three (3) days per fiscal year, if the examination is scheduled to take place during the employees regularly scheduled shift.
Leave for Examinations. An employee, who during working times sits for one of the following examinations, may be granted leave with full pay for those days which he actually takes the examination paper and for such days as are actually required for travelling to and from the examination centre by the most direct route. This period shall count as emergency leave:
i. Entrance examinations to approved institutions
ii. Approved professional examinations for further courses in tertiary institutions
iii. Promotion examinations and interviews
iv. Degree examinations or their equivalent; and
v. Examination relevant to the Service.
Leave for Examinations. An employee shall be entitledto leave of absence with pay and without xxxx of seniority and benefits to write examinations pursuant to courses required to meet standards or upgradethe employee's qualificationsfor service within the Home.
