Level I – Immediate Supervisor. 16.3.1 Within thirty (30) days after the occurrence of the act or omission giving rise to the grievance, the grievant must present his/her grievance in writing on the appropriate form (Appendix E) to the immediate supervisor.
16.3.2 This statement shall be a clear, concise statement of the grievance, the contract provisions allegedly violated, the circumstances involved, the decision rendered at the informal conference, and the specific remedy sought.
16.3.3 The immediate supervisor shall communicate his decision to the grievant in writing within ten
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. 1. Within one (1) year after the occurrence of the act or omission giving rise to the grievance, the grievant shall present his/her grievance in writing to the appropriate Association grievance chair and the immediate supervisor on the District grievance form (Appendix D). The grievance shall contain a clear and concise statement of the grievance, the circumstances involved, including any supporting evidence, the specific sections of this Agreement alleged to have been violated, the affected employee(s) and the specific remedy sought.
2. Within ten (10) days of receiving the grievance the immediate supervisor may request a formal conference to discuss the grievance. The immediate supervisor shall render a decision to the grievant in writing within ten (10) days of receiving the grievance, or of the date that the grievance conference was held, whichever is later.
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. Within twenty (20) days after the occurrence of the act or omission giving rise to the grievance, the grievant must present the grievance in writing on the grievance form to his/her immediate supervisor. The immediate supervisor shall meet with the grievant and communicate his/her decision to the grievant in writing within fifteen (15) days after receiving the grievance. If the supervisor does not respond within the time limits, the grievant may appeal to the next level.
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. The grievance shall be reduced to writing on a LRCEA grievance form signed by the employee (or LRCEA representative if regarding Articles 2 and 3 of this Agreement or as a co-filer with an individual grievant or as an authorized representative of the grievant) and filed with the immediate supervisor (District Human Resources Director, if filed by LRCEA regarding Articles 2 and 3).
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. 3.1.1 The grievant must within twenty (20) days of the time the grievant knew or should have known of the occurrence, which constitutes the basis of the grievance, file the grievance in writing with his/her immediate supervisor. The immediate supervisor shall schedule a hearing within five (5) days of the receipt of the grievance.
3.1.2 Within five (5) days after the conclusion of the grievance hearing, the supervisor shall inform, in writing, the grievant of his/her decision in the matter. A copy of the decision will be supplied to the grievant, the Superintendent, and the Association.
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. The grievance shall be reduced to writing on a District grievance form signed by the employee and filed with the immediate supervisor. The grievance shall include the following information: A statement of the grievance and the facts upon which it is based; the remedial action requested; the article and section of this Agreement alleged to have been violated. The resolution of the grievance will be prepared in writing by the immediate supervisor and submitted to the employee within five
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. A grievance shall first be discussed with the grievant’s immediate supervisor with the objective of resolving the matter informally. In the event that the grievant is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance, grievant may submit the claim as a formal grievance in writing to the immediate supervisor. If the grievant has not filed a written grievance within 10 workdays after speaking with the immediate supervisor informally, the grievance will be deemed to have been waived. The grievant shall discuss the grievance with the immediate supervisor and may request that a representative accompany them. The immediate supervisor shall within 10 workdays render their decision and the reasons therefore, in writing, to the grievant, the Association, and the Superintendent.
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. 15.4.1 If satisfactory resolution of the grievance is not resolved at the informal stage, within seven (7) days after the conclusion of the informal stage, the grievant shall present the grievance, in writing, on a form to be provided by the District, to the administrator with immediate administrative responsibilities for the position to which the complainant is assigned. Copies shall be sent to the representative(s) and the Association.
15.4.2 By mutual agreement, the District and the Association may arrange for a joint conference involving all affected personnel.
15.4.3 The immediate supervisor shall communicate the decision to the bargaining unit member in writing within seven (7) days of receipt of the Level I grievance.
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. 9.3.1 Within twenty (20) work days after the grievant reasonably could have known of the occurrence of the act or omission giving rise to the grievance, the grievant must present his/her grievance, in writing, on the appropriate form to his/her immediate supervisor.
9.3.2 This statement shall be a clear, concise statement of the grievance, the specific section(s) of this Agreement alleged to have been violated, the circumstances involved, the decision rendered at the informal conference, and the specific remedy sought.
9.3.3 Copies of all written grievance documents by both the grievant and the supervisor shall be forwarded by the receiving supervisor to the Human Resources Office and the Union for this level and any further levels to which appeal may be made.
9.3.4 The immediate supervisor shall communicate his/her decision, in writing, to the grievant and the Union Representative within fifteen (15) work days after receiving the grievance.
9.3.5 Upon the request of either party, a conference shall be held within the above time limits.
Level I – Immediate Supervisor. If the informal discussion does not resolve the grievance, a formal grievance may be initiated, not later than ten (10) working days after the informal conference.
20.4.1 A formal grievance shall be initiated in writing and shall be filed with the immediate supervisor on forms prepared jointly by the District and CSEA. Such forms will be readily available at all job sites. Grievances reduced to writing at this step shall include statements indicating: (a) the circumstance giving rise to the grievance, (b) the Article(s) or Section(s) of the contract which the grievant believes were violated, and a listing of actions requested of the District which will remedy the grievance.
20.4.2 Within ten (10) working days after the filing of the formal grievance, the immediate supervisor shall investigate the grievance and give his/her decision in writing to the grievant.
