Library Media Specialists. 24.1.1 The District of Columbia Public Schools shall maintain library and media center facilities. 24.1.2 When funds are specifically allocated, clerical assistance shall be provided for all Library Media Specialists. 24.1.3 Library Media Specialists shall not be assigned non-Library Media Specialist duties, which will cause the closing of the library. 24.1.4 Where there are two (2) or more professional staff personnel assigned to a media center or library, the Library Media Specialist with building seniority shall be designated as team leader if the performance ratings are equal. 24.1.5 Library Media Specialists shall be given the opportunity to acquire the necessary training for handling non print materials, provided funding is available. 24.1.6 When libraries are established, the standards of the American Library Association shall be considered. 24.1.7 Continuous access to the library collections and flexible scheduling may be components of the library media center. Flexible scheduling for the use of the library shall be developed and implemented when it is deemed appropriate for the instructional program of the school by the Supervisor after consultation with the Library Media Specialist-media specialist. 24.1.8 School Library Media Specialists shall arrange cooperative meetings and/or conferences with faculty Teachers during the employee’s workday. These meetings and/or conferences shall be to discuss issues, books, materials and other business pertinent to the professional Library Media Specialist’s and Teacher’s mission of providing the highest quality of education to DCPS students. The goal is to implement the most efficient and effective use of the library as a learning and resource center. 24.1.9 Library Media Specialists are integral Teachers of the teaching function in the DCPS. Library Media Specialists shall, in addition to the traditional functions, collaborate in the selection of all learning resources, work with teachers in the planning and/or implementation of curriculum, and offer instruction to both teachers and students in the use of library and media center resources and equipment, as well as reading, listening and viewing skills. 24.1.10 The Supervisor and Library Media Specialist (LMS) shall meet and jointly develop annually the library media program including a flexible scheduling model based on best practices in accordance with the standards of the American Library Association. Library Media Specialists. The recommended minimum paraprofessional time per library shall be 1.5 hours for each Elementary School library, 3.25 hours for each Middle School library, and 6.5 hours for each High School library. To support and develop the services of the instructional media programs to best serve the school district, community, and students, each Elementary and Middle School librarian shall have at a minimum an extended contract of five (5) days and each High School librarian shall have at a minimum an extended contract of ten (10) days. These additional days shall occur on a schedule mutually determined by the employee and the immediate supervisor. The additional work days will be provided for under the provision of a supplemental contract at the per diem rate of pay.

Library/media specialists serve 45 as teachers, planners, facilitators, and managers on a weekly basis. 46 Library/media specialists are not held to the instructional minutes’ provision outlined in ARTICLE 47 VIII, Item C.

  • Specialists Persons working within a juridical person who possess uncommon knowledge essential to the commercial presence’s production, research equipment, techniques or management. In assessing such knowledge, account will be taken not only of knowledge specific to the commercial presence, but also of whether the person has a high level of qualification referring to a type of work or trade requiring specific technical knowledge, including membership of an accredited profession.

  • Anesthesia Services This plan covers general and local anesthesia services received from an anesthesiologist when the surgical procedure is a covered healthcare service. This plan covers office visits or office consultations with an anesthesiologist when provided prior to a scheduled covered surgical procedure.

  • Radiation Therapy/Chemotherapy Services This plan covers chemotherapy and radiation services. This plan covers respiratory therapy services. When respiratory services are provided in your home, as part of a home care program, durable medical equipment, supplies, and oxygen are covered as a durable medical equipment service.

  • Games The Private Party shall not be entitled to introduce any arcade type amusement or gaming machines into the Restaurant Facility without the prior written approval of SANParks.

  • Beta Services From time to time, We may invite You to try Beta Services at no charge. You may accept or decline any such trial in Your sole discretion. Beta Services will be clearly designated as beta, pilot, limited release, developer preview, non-production, evaluation or by a description of similar import. Beta Services are for evaluation purposes and not for production use, are not considered “Services” under this Agreement, are not supported, and may be subject to additional terms. Unless otherwise stated, any Beta Services trial period will expire upon the earlier of one year from the trial start date or the date that a version of the Beta Services becomes generally available. We may discontinue Beta Services at any time in Our sole discretion and may never make them generally available. We will have no liability for any harm or damage arising out of or in connection with a Beta Service.

  • Speech Therapy This plan covers speech therapy services when provided by a qualified licensed • loss of speech or communication function; or • impairment as a result of an acute illness or injury, or an acute exacerbation of a chronic disease. Speech therapy services must relate to: • performing basic functional communication; or • assessing or treating swallowing dysfunction. See Autism Services when speech therapy services are rendered as part of the treatment of autism spectrum disorder. The amount you pay and any benefit limit will be the same whether the services are provided for habilitative or rehabilitative purposes.

  • Moonlighting Employment as a physician in a professional capacity outside of what is outlined in this Agreement, whether temporary special medical activity (“TSMA”) or external moonlighting, must be approved in writing, in advance, by the Departmental Chair, Program Director and Director of Graduate Medical Education (or designee). Even if approved, professional and general liability insurance as outlined in Section 5.4 is not provided to Trainee engaged in external moonlighting. Trainee acknowledges he or she has the responsibility to obtain insurance for such engagement. TSMA and external moonlighting must be included and reported as part of Trainee's hours spent on clinical experience and education. Trainee shall not be required to engage in any outside work.

  • Information Technology Enterprise Architecture Requirements If this Contract involves information technology-related products or services, the Contractor agrees that all such products or services are compatible with any of the technology standards found at xxxxx://xxx.xx.xxx/iot/2394.htm that are applicable, including the assistive technology standard. The State may terminate this Contract for default if the terms of this paragraph are breached.

  • Pharmacy Services The Contractor shall establish a network of pharmacies. The Contractor or its PBM must provide at least two (2) pharmacy providers within thirty (30) miles or thirty (30) minutes from a member’s residence in each county, as well as at least two (2) durable medical equipment providers in each county or contiguous county.
