LOCAL ASSOCIATION SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. 22.1 Local Association school staff representatives, elected in accordance with local Association procedures shall: a. convene staff meetings in the school to conduct Association business; b. be relieved of instructional duties with no loss of pay to be present at any meeting between a Principal/Vice-Principal and a teacher in the school or district; c. be relieved of instructional duties with no loss of pay in order to investigate or participate in a grievance or arbitration.

LOCAL ASSOCIATION SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. Local Association school staff representatives, elected in accordance with Association procedures shall: 1. convene staff meetings in the school to conduct Association business, other than during normal instructional hours; 2. be relieved of instructional duties with no loss of pay to be present at any meeting between an administrative officer and a teacher in the school or district, where that teacher requests such representation. Administrative officers shall make every effort to conduct such meetings outside normal instructional hours; 3. be relieved of instructional duties with no loss of pay in order to participate in a grievance or arbitration.
LOCAL ASSOCIATION SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. 1. The Board recognizes one local Association Staff Representative at each school, elected in accordance with Association procedures and the Board shall be advised in writing of the names of these Staff Representatives. 2. Staff Representatives may use a school facility to conduct Association business, outside of instructional time, providing prior approval for space has been received from the school administrator. Use of facilities shall not be unreasonably denied. 3. Without loss of pay, a local Association school staff representative or an alternate local Association member shall, when so requested by a member, attend and, if further requested by the member, speak on the member's behalf at any meeting between that member and a school administrator or the Board.
LOCAL ASSOCIATION SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. 1. The Association School Staff Representative in the school to which the teacher is assigned, or the Association President or designate, shall attend a meeting between an Association member and an Administrative Officer if: a. the meeting is or may become discipline related; b. a matter evolves during a discussion that leads a teacher to believe that their rights under the contract might be violated. In this event the teacher reserves the right to suspend the meeting until a representative arrives; c. requested by the teacher, where a teaching practice or teacher concern is to be discussed. d. the Administrative Officer has reason to believe a representative of the Association should be present. 2. Upon notification to the Administrative Officer, the Staff Representative, or President or designate, shall be relieved of duties, without loss of pay, to participate in a grievance or arbitration procedure as provided for in this Agreement. Whenever possible, such activities will be conducted outside of teaching duty hours. 3. The Association shall inform the Superintendent of Schools of Staff Representatives elected in each school.
LOCAL ASSOCIATION SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. 1. Local Association school staff representatives, elected in accordance with local association procedures shall have the right to: a. convene Association meetings in the school at a time and location mutually agreed between the staff representative and the principal; b. attend meetings between the principal and teacher(s) that are concerning labour relations matters. While it is the intention of the parties to conduct grievance meetings and labour relations meetings after school hours, should the principal call a meeting during the work day, an Association representative, at the request of either the teacher or the principal, shall be relieved of instructional duties with no loss of pay, to be present at such meetings; c. be released from teaching duties, with pay minus the cost of a TTOC, to present an arbitration case or to serve as a witness in an arbitration case. 2. In order to deal with emergent personnel matters within the school, the principal and the staff representative shall mutually agree on an appropriate course of action.

The Board shall be advised in writing of the names of these staff representatives. 2. Staff representatives may use a school facility to conduct Association business, outside of instruction time, providing prior approval for space has been received from the Principal/Vice Principal. Use of facilities shall not be unreasonably denied. 3. Where meetings between a Principal/Vice Principal and a teacher concern disciplinary matters or upon request of the teacher, a teacher shall have the right to have an Association staff representative in attendance and such attendance shall be without loss of pay. 4. The parties will endeavour to schedule grievance-related meetings outside of instructional hours, however, should the staff representative be required by the Administration to participate in grievance or arbitration meetings during instructional time, such leave shall be with no loss of pay. (See also Article G.6 Leave for Union Business).
LOCAL ASSOCIATION SCHOOL STAFF REPRESENTATIVES. A.23.1 Local Association School Staff Representatives elected in accordance with Association procedures shall have the right to: a. Convene staff meetings in the school outside instructional hours to conduct Association business, provided such meetings shall not interfere with normal staff responsibilities occurring at the same time; b. Be relieved of instructional duties if necessary to be present at any meeting pursuant to Article A.6 (Grievance Procedure). Every effort shall be made to provide a teacher teaching on call. It is understood that the Association will pay the cost of a teacher teaching on call under this Article; c. Be relieved of instructional duties if necessary when attending meetings requested by the Board, district administrative staff, or an administrative officer. Every effort shall be made to provide a teacher teaching on call, if practicable. It is understood that the district will pay the cost of a teacher teaching on call under this Article. No staff member is obligated to provide teacher teaching on call coverage under the provisions of this Article.
