Lockout and Machine Guarding. The Employer shall ensure that all equipment is locked out and guarded. The JHSC shall develop a lockout and test procedure and machinery guarding program. All employees who may be at risk will receive training specific to their job.

(b) otherwise rendered the machine inoperative in a manner that prevents reactivation and provides protection that is equal to, or greater than, the protection provided by clause (a). An employer must:
(a) develop and implement safe work procedures respecting all machines and tools used in the workplace;

(c) ensure that workers comply with the safe work procedures. The safe work procedures must include practices and procedures dealing with the lockout of machines used in the workplace. An employer must ensure that a worker is:
(a) informed of any risks associated with a machine or tool used in the workplace; and
(b) provided with information, instruction and training in the safe use and operation of the machine or tool.

If an employee does not complete a course of treatment initiated by the Employer any subsequent course of treatment required as a result of the same situation shall be undertaken at the employee’s expense. An employee who does not take the recommended course of treatment for verified medical or bona fide religious reasons is entitled to such accommodation as the Employer may direct or, failing that sick leave if the credits are available.
