Mandatory Direct Deposit. As a condition of continued employment, all employees are required to participate in the Port’s direct deposit program for payroll purposes.
Mandatory Direct Deposit. All association employees shall be required to enroll in payroll direct deposit. Paychecks will be electronically paid to an employee’s bank account. Upon separation, employees will be paid with a physical paycheck that will be held in the Human Resources Division.

If the Employer provides for the electronic transfer and direct deposit of wages paid to the employees covered by this Agreement, subject to the requirements of applicable law, each employee shall participate in the Employer’s program and shall designate the financial institution(s) to which he or she directs the deposit of all wages and other compensation paid to the employee.

If the employee is enrolled on Direct Deposit and the employee’s pay is not deposited to their bank accounts on payday due to Employer error, the employee’s pay will be deposited to the employee’s account by means of Electronic Funds Transfer or the employee will be paid by station draft that same day. If an employee is unable to obtain a bank account, he/she will be paid electronically using a pay card/debit card. If for reasons beyond the Employer’s control, such as weather delays, express mail failure, etc. an employee’s “paycheck” or debit card does not arrive at the employee’s facility by payday, a replacement check will be issued and mailed to the employee’s facility by the end of the business day.
