ORIENTATION OF NEW TEACHERS. The parties will jointly design a New Teacher Orientation. A block of ninety minutes shall be designated for use by the Association to introduce new teachers to Association leaders and to explain Association programs and services. Additional time may be agreed upon between the Board/designee and the Association. The Association shall bear all costs incurred for this part of the program.

Three (3) days prior to the opening of the school year, new teachers will be available for orientation to familiarize them with the school environment. Two (2) additional days of orientation may be scheduled over the teacher's next three (3) years at the Superintendent's discretion. ORIENTATION OF NEW TEACHERS. Principals shall provide the Association representatives from their buildings with the opportunity for a thirty (30) minute meeting with new teachers during the opening day of school for teachers.

The Parties will establish a joint committee in the 2021-2022 school year to establish a program of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) studies such that, effective the 2022-2023 school year, educators entering employment with the Framingham Public Schools will be required to complete a designated number of hours of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training. Credit for coursework will be explored. The content and number of hours will be determined by the joint committee.
