Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. During the orientation of newly hired nurses, the Medical Center shall provide an Association representative with a 30-minute period to discuss the Association. This period will be paid time for the newly hired nurses and the Association representative. The Association representative, if a bargaining unit nurse, will be paid at the regular rate of pay for the assigned 30-minute period. The paid time will not count toward premium or overtime pay. The Medical Center will cooperate in releasing an Association representative, if a bargaining unit nurse, from duty to attend such meeting, and the Association will cooperate to provide an alternate representative where such release would cause staffing problems for the Medical Center.
Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. The Employer shall notify the chairperson 17 of the Association bargaining unit, or the chairperson’s designee, of all nurses newly hired 18 into bargaining unit positions. The representative shall be provided access to these nurses 19 for up to thirty (30) minutes at a mutually agreeable time for the chairperson and the new 20 nurse to discuss Association membership. 21

The Medical Center will provide a schedule of orientation, 17 including the names and contact information of the newly hired nurses, to the 18 Association for the purposes of scheduling an Association representative.

Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. The Association will be allowed thirty 24 (30) minutes during the first week of Nursing Orientation and this time will be 25 used only to provide newly hired RNs with a copy of the Collective 26 Bargaining Agreement, membership packet, and orientation to the provisions 27 of the existing contract. HHH is entitled to attend and respond to the 28 Association presentation. HHH will provide the Association with notice of all 29 scheduled orientations in a timely fashion at least a week in advance 30 whenever possible.
