Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. During the orientation of newly hired nurses, the Medical Center shall provide an Association representative with a 30-minute period to discuss the Association. This period will be paid time for the newly hired nurses and the Association representative. The Association representative, if a bargaining unit nurse, will be paid at the regular rate of pay for the assigned 30-minute period. The paid time will not count toward premium or overtime pay. The Medical Center will cooperate in releasing an Association representative, if a bargaining unit nurse, from duty to attend such meeting, and the Association will cooperate to provide an alternate representative where such release would cause staffing problems for the Medical Center.
2.4.1 A Medical Center representative may be present at such meeting, but shall not participate in the discussion. Nurses may be asked, but not required, to complete the written authorization form referenced in Section 1.2 during or after such meeting.
Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. The Employer shall notify the chairperson 13 of the Association bargaining unit, or the chairperson’s designee, of all nurses newly hired 14 into bargaining unit positions. The representative shall be provided access to these nurses 15 for up to thirty (30) minutes at a mutually agreeable time for the chairperson and the new 16 nurse to discuss Association membership.
Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. During the unit orientation of newly hired nurses, the Employer shall provide an Association representative with a 30-minute period to discuss the Association. This period will be paid time for the newly hired nurses, but will be on the Association representative’s own time. The Employer will cooperate in releasing an Association representative, if a nurse, from duty to attend such meeting, and the Association will cooperate to provide an alternate representative where such release would cause staffing problems for the Employer. The Employer may choose to have an Employer representative attend such meeting as long as this does not cause undue delay in conducting the orientation.

This period will be paid time for the newly hired nurses and the Association representative. Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. The Medical Center will give timely notice to the local bargaining unit chairperson or designee of all scheduled new hire orientations for bargaining unit nurses. During the orientation of newly hired nurses, the Medical Center will provide an Association representative with a 30-minute period to discuss the Association. This period will be paid time for the newly hired nurses. The Medical Center will cooperate in releasing an Association representative from duty to attend such meeting, and the Association will cooperate to provide an alternate representative where such release would cause staffing problems for the Medical Center. Association representatives in this release status may choose to be unpaid or to use PTO. The Medical Center will distribute to newly employed nurses a copy of the Agreement and membership informational material provided by the Association to the Medical Center for such purpose.
Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. This period will be paid time for the 21 newly hired nurses and the Association representative. The Association representative, 22 if a bargaining unit nurse, will be paid at the regular rate of pay for the assigned thirty- 23 minute period. The paid time will not count toward premium or overtime pay. The 24 Medical Center will cooperate in releasing an Association representative, if a bargaining 25 unit nurse, from duty to attend such meeting, and the Association will cooperate to 26 provide an alternate representative where such release would cause staffing problems 27 for the Medical Center.

The Medical Center will provide a schedule of orientation, including the names and contact information of the newly hired nurses, to the Association for the purposes of scheduling an Association representative.
2.4.1 The Medical Center will distribute to newly employed nurses a copy of this Agreement as supplied to them by the Association.

Orientation of Newly Hired Nurses. The Hospital shall notify the chairperson of the Association Bargaining Unit, or the nurse’s designee, of all new employee orientation sessions at the time such sessions are scheduled. Prior to each orientation, the Hospital will notify the Association of the number of nurse orientees scheduled to be in attendance. Notification will include the number of nurse orientees scheduled to be in attendance at each meeting. The representative shall be provided access to these newly hired nurses for a sixtythirty (6030) minute time period, of which thirty (30) minutes will be paid at straight time during each session to discuss Association membership. The hospital will make every reasonable effort to release the newly hired nurse to participate in new hire orientation at the first available date after the nurse’s hire. If, due to emergent circumstances, the nurse cannot be released, the representative shall be provided access to the nurse at the next scheduled orientation.
