Other Medical Leave. A. Up to six (6) months of leave may be granted to an eligible employee for his or her serious personal health condition or when he or she needs to care for a member of his or her “immediate family” as defined under Article 22.4B3 above with a serious health condition, which may be extended up to one (1) year for extenuating circumstances.

Other Medical Leave. The City complies with federal and state leave laws including but not limited to FMLA/CFRA, Pregnancy Disability Leave (POL), Military Leave, etc.
Other Medical Leave. If the Employee does not qualify for FMLA, duty-disability leave, or short-term disability leave, he or she may have their job preserved for up to three (3) months. After exhaustion of the Employee’s PTO banks, this leave will be without pay. An Employee may keep his or her medical, dental and vision benefits during this leave. All other benefits will cease during this leave and seniority will be frozen. The Employer has the right to request an independent examination by the company physician to determine the feasibility of the medical leave of absence. Maximum leave of this type that will be granted will be three (3) months within a rolling twelve (12)-month period measured backward from the first date of the leave.

  • Medical Leave Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Civil Service Rules, County Code, and other law, medical leaves of absence will be granted by the employee’s Department Head upon request only upon submission of a doctor’s certificate or other satisfactory medical evidence of the employee’s need for such leave.

  • Extended Medical Leave A teacher who is unable to teach because of personal illness or disability and who has exhausted all available sick leave shall be granted leave for up to one (1) year. Any request for this leave must state the probable date of return and be accompanied by a verifying physician's statement. If the leave was granted as a result of a work related injury the employee may request and shall be granted a one (1) year extension of this leave. Before returning, such teacher must submit a physician's release. To be eligible for an extended medical leave of absence, an employee must have been actively employed on paid status with APS a minimum of one contract year immediately prior to the leave start date. All intermittent medical leaves will be addressed according to FMLA regulations.

  • Family Medical Leave (a) An employee is entitled to family medical leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Family and Medical Leave 16.1 A. Consistent with the federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and any amendments thereto and the Washington State Family Leave Act of 2006 (WFLA), an employee who has worked for the state for at least twelve (12) months and for at least one thousand two hundred fifty (1,250) hours during the twelve (12) months prior to the requested leave is entitled to up to twelve (12) workweeks of family medical leave in a twelve (12) month period for one or more of the following reasons 1 - 4:

  • Civil Leave Section 1. The Employer recognizes the responsibility of its employees to fulfill their civic duties as jurors and witnesses in court proceedings. The Employer agrees therefore to grant civil leave with pay to permanent employees:

  • Family Medical Leave Act Pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, an employee who has been employed at least twelve (12) months and worked at least 1,250 hours during the prior 12-month period is entitled to twelve (12) work weeks of leave during any 12-month period without pay but with group health insurance coverage maintained for one or more of the following reasons:
