Overtime - Distribution by Seniority. Overtime shall be distributed to employees in the bargaining unit within each department in order of bargaining unit seniority if the employee meets the qualifications or needs. Each semester employees will be given the opportunity to indicate their interest in overtime. Site training, where necessary, will be conducted during the summer and at least once a semester to qualify the employee. In the event that an employee is absent during a training session, every reasonable effort shall be made to provide training to the interested employee at the earliest opportunity for both parties. If the employee with the greatest bargaining unit seniority elects to refuse the overtime assignment, it shall be offered to employees in the bargaining unit in descending order of seniority until the assignment is made. Refusal by a senior employee in the bargaining unit of any overtime assignment shall not waive his or her right under this section to be offered any subsequent overtime assignment in order of seniority.
Overtime - Distribution by Seniority. 9.4.3.1 The District, in its sole discretion, shall determine what classification within the unit shall receive overtime assignments. The District agrees to allow unit members on the site that the overtime is to be performed to have first right of refusal of the overtime assignment. Overtime assignments shall be offered according to seniority, within the determined classification.

The number of consecutive days of overtime an employee may work may not exceed 6 unless there is refusal by all other members of the bargaining unit or extenuating circumstances.

Scheduled overtime shall be distributed and rotated on a seniority basis as equally as is practical among employees in the bargaining unit within each department/site and class. For the purposes of this section, seniority shall be based on a combination of time in the class and site/department. Employees shall not be excluded from overtime assignments. This does not apply to call-backs or emergencies.
Overtime - Distribution by Seniority. On a rotating basis, overtime shall be distributed to unit members within a classification at a site who have the necessary skills to perform the required duties. If employees at the site decline the overtime, it shall be offered to employees in the classification at other sites, on a rotating basis, who have the knowledge of the site (if required) and the necessary skills to perform the required duties.
Overtime - Distribution by Seniority. 4.5.1 Overtime shall be distributed and rotated as equally as possible among all employees in the appropriate class within a department, or at a given work site, with the initial offer going to the most senior employee in the work class. Any employee offered overtime who refuses it shall be deemed to have worked overtime for the purposes of rotation only. Refusal by a senior employee of an overtime assignment shall not waive his/her right to be offered a subsequent overtime assignment. Bus drivers working in Board approved part-time positions which total eight (8) hours per day rotate only on holidays/weekends.
Overtime - Distribution by Seniority. Overtime shall be distributed on a rotating seniority basis to qualified permanent bargaining unit employees within the same classification of each department. An employee who accepts an overtime assignment shall be expected to maintain his/her full regular work assignment prior to and following the overtime assignment.
