Allocation of Overtime. Subject to operational requirements, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort:
Allocation of Overtime. Whenever practicable, overtime worked within a department shall be allocated among the employees within that department on an equitable basis.
Allocation of Overtime. (02) It is understood that every effort will be made to avoid the necessity of overtime. Should authorized overtime work be required, the following will apply:
Allocation of Overtime. Monitors who want to work overtime shall so indicate on a building sign-up list. Overtime will be offered on an established rotation in each building, so as to offer equal amounts of overtime to all monitors who have indicated a willingness to work overtime. Lists will be made for each building, except Xxxxxxx Educational Center which will be included with the High School. If there is a need for overtime in a building that cannot be supported by the monitors assigned to the building, all monitors who are not assigned to that building will be notified via email of the opportunity and will be assigned to those interested on a rotation basis. A monitor who passes on the opportunity will not be considered again until the full rotation has been exhausted. Despite the foregoing, the Coordinator of Safety and Security may deny overtime opportunities to a monitor during a semester: (1) if the monitor cancels an overtime assignment within 72 hours of that assignment more than twice in a semester, and cannot find a replacement; or (2) if the monitor is tardy to an overtime assignment more than twice in a semester.
Allocation of Overtime. Pursuant to Clause 16.5 of the Master Agreement and except in the case of emergencies, overtime shall be allocated on an equitable basis within the appropriate classifications listed in Appendix 2 for the work group. Accordingly, no employee in another classification shall be called out on overtime until all employees in the appropriate classifications have had the opportunity to refuse the overtime. For the purpose of this clause, an effort by the Employer to contact an employee shall constitute an opportunity to work.
Allocation of Overtime. The objective of both parties is to limit periods of overtime to that level judged essential to meet operational requirements. The Union recognizes the special demands presented by the legislated requirement to meet minimum staffing levels in specified employment areas and supports the efforts of the Employer to meet these requirements through the prudent use of essential overtime. When essential overtime becomes the operational norm, the Employer recognizes its obligation to employ sufficient workers to avoid the excessive use of overtime. The Employer shall, as operational requirements permit, make every reasonable effort:
Allocation of Overtime. Insofar as practicable, overtime shall be allotted equally among the employees in the particular classification affected within the department affected, subject to the ability of such employees to perform the required work. Records showing overtime worked in a department will be kept in the department office and may be reviewed at reasonable times by employees and the Union Business Agent. The College shall not be required to offer an employee overtime work during the seven (7) calendar days following paid sick leave taken by an employee who is on the “poor attendance” list, unpaid sick leave, or unpaid personal leave. An academic-year employee may be required by the College to work overtime on any workday of the employee (as distinguished from a day off of the employee) provided that (i) such overtime work is performed in the same kitchen, (ii) such overtime work is performed in an area outside of the employee’s assigned unit in order to facilitate a special event, (iii) such overtime work is not to replace a student of the College who fails to work as scheduled and (iv) such required overtime work shall not exceed eight (8) hours in any payroll week unless additional required overtime is justified by extraordinary circumstances.
Allocation of Overtime. Overtime shall be offered to employees in order of seniority.
Allocation of Overtime. Pursuant to Article 16.5 of this Agreement and except in the case of emergencies, overtime shall be allocated on an equitable basis within the work group. For the purpose of this article, an effort by the Employer to contact an employee shall constitute an opportunity to work.
Allocation of Overtime. The current seniority block boundaries shall determine the jurisdiction of a traffic control work group. The Parties recognize that situations of an emergent nature may arise where work jurisdictions for employees may cross over.
