Overtime Lunch Periods. Employees working overtime shall receive a lunch period of thirty (30) minutes on the Employer’s time after every four (4) hours if the overtime hours are annexed to a regular scheduled shift. An employee required to work during their regular lunch period shall receive the overtime rate for such lunch period and shall thereafter take a lunch on the Employer’s time when practicable. The regular second shift shall be an eight (8) hour period less thirty (30) minutes for meals on employee’s time. Pay for a full second shift period shall be a sum equivalent to eight (8) times the regular hourly rates as set forth in Appendix A plus ten percent (10%). The regular third shift shall be a seven and one-half (7½) hour period less thirty (30) minutes for meals on the employee’s time. Pay for a full third shift period shall be a sum equivalent to eight (8) times the regular hourly rates as set forth in Appendix A plus fifteen percent (15%).

Overtime Lunch Periods. 5.16 Employees who work one and one-half (1-1/2) or more hours overtime before their regular starting time or after their regular quitting time shall be paid a lunch allowance of nine dollars ($9.00) in cash. In the event employees work more than fourteen (14) continuous hours (more than eighteen (18) continuous hours, in the case of a twelve hour shift worker), a second meal allowance shall be paid. Should employees request and be allowed to leave the plant, they shall not be entitled to a meal allowance. Should employees be requested to work their normal daily work period on a Saturday and / or Sunday for any reason, no overtime lunch allowance will be paid unless such employees work one and one-half (1-1/2) or more hours before their scheduled starting time or after their scheduled quitting time on such days. Overtime Lunch Periods. Any employee who is required to work more than ten (10) consecutive hours (excluding lunch period) shall be permitted to take thirty (30) minutes for a lunch with pay.

In the event that overtime continues (for intervals of four [4] consecutive hours) further lunch periods shall be available in each such interval providing that the overtime is to continue. In the event that a lunch period is not available to the employee, they shall be paid one-half (1/2) hour at two (2) times their basic rate of pay for each lunch period missed. It is understood that the lunch period in question may vary in actual duration according to circumstances and may be available on the job. Regardless of the actual time of the lunch periods, it shall be deemed to have been taken after the completion of each interval.

  • Lunch Periods 3.6.1 All employees covered by this Agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted lunch period, which shall be scheduled for full-time employees at or about mid-point of each work shift.
