Overtime Penalty Rates. 38.10 On projects where the Total Cost of Work is $50m or greater, all time worked in excess of the ordinary hours and on weekends shall be paid at double time.

Shiftwork All shifts starting or finishing more than 2 hours outside of the ordinary hours of work will be classified as Shiftwork and be paid at double time for the entire shift. An early start between 4.00am and 6.00am on a regular day shift will be paid at double time for those hours worked up until 6.00am and will count towards the ordinary hours for the day and not be considered shift work for the purposes of this clause. A late finish between 6.00pm and 8.00pm will be paid at double time for those hours worked outside the ordinary span of hours, will count towards the ordinary hours for the day if occurring within 8 hours of the start time and not be considered shift work for the purposes of this clause. Shiftwork shall be paid at the rate of double time for all hours worked. Unless otherwise agreed between the parties an Employee who has to work Shiftwork shall be given at least 48 hours’ notice of the requirements to work shift work. An Employee may refuse to work shiftwork in circumstances where the working of such shift would result in the Employee working hours which are unreasonable having regard to matters including:
