Paid Lunch Periods. Section 14.1 All contracted employees working six (6) or more consecutive hours daily, including summer work, will receive a thirty (30) minute lunch period as part of their contracted work day. All other contracted employees working under six (6) hours or those working by a time sheet will not receive the thirty (30) minute lunch period as a paid part of their day. All employees are on call during paid lunch periods and may not leave their assigned buildings without the approval of their immediate supervisor. Section 14.2 Personnel will not receive free lunches.

Paid Lunch Periods. Employees working the second and third shifts shall have a thirty (30) minute paid lunch period.
Paid Lunch Periods. If the City determines that any employee is required to remain at the work site for the entire length of a period of eight (8) hours or more, then the employee shall be permitted a one half (1/2) hour paid lunch break during said period, provided the employee shall make himself available to respond to work demands during the lunch period if the need arises.
Paid Lunch Periods. Police Officers, when working their normal eight - (8) hour shift, shall be entitled to a maximum of one-half (1/2) hour for lunch. When working a work shift of twelve (12) hours or more, they shall be entitled to a maximum of two (2) one-half (1/2) hour periods for lunch and dinner. Prior to starting such lunch or dinner periods they shall advise the police radio operator as to where they can be reached in case of emergency.

  • Lunch Periods All employees covered by this agreement shall be entitled to an uninterrupted lunch period after the employee has been on duty for four (4) hours. The length of time for such lunch period shall be for a period of no longer than one (1) hour nor less than one-half (1/2) hour and shall be scheduled for full-time employees at or about the midpoint of each work shift. An employee required to work during his/her lunch period shall receive compensation at the appropriate rate of pay as determined in this agreement for all time worked during the normal lunch period.
