Hour Work Schedule. Notwithstanding LAAC Section 4.108(a), whenever a full-time employee voluntarily reduces the number of his/her biweekly regular work hours from 80 to a number not less than 72 at the request of, or with the permission of, his/her appointing authority, such employee shall be credited with all rights and benefits as though he/she worked 80 hours in the payroll period. The employee shall not be credited for overtime worked until more than 40 hours have been worked in the workweek. Compensation received under this Article shall be considered full compensation for all employees participating in the voluntary work hour reduction program.

The employee shall not be credited for overtime worked until more than forty (40) hours have been worked in the workweek. Compensation received under the circumstances herein provided shall be considered full compensation for all employees participating in such voluntary work hour reduction.
Hour Work Schedule. All work performed on the fourth (4th) consecutive shift, following three consecutive twelve (12) hour shifts, shall be paid for at the rate of time and one half (1 1/2) and double time for the fifth (5th) and subsequent shift. This clause shall not apply if any of the consecutive shifts were requested by the employee.
Hour Work Schedule. Consistent with operating requirements, employees on a 4/10 work schedule shall be allowed to engage in physical fitness activities between the hours of 0700 and 0830. Provisions for the use of City-owned or personal physical fitness equipment by those employees who are not enrolled in the Department’s physical fitness program shall be the same as recited above for employees on a 56 hour schedule.
Hour Work Schedule. The daily work schedule (forty (40) hour work week) for unit employees in specialized, non-patrol assignments and placed on a ten (10) hour work day by Police Management shall consist of ten (10) hours of work time inclusive of breaks and inclusive of a one-half (1/2) hour meal break. Unit employees assigned to the ten (10) hour work schedule shall have the opportunity to take a one-half (1/2) hour meal break during their shift unless circumstances prevent it. Unit employees assigned to the ten (10) hour schedule are considered to have already been compensated for their meal breaks, and should they be unable to take their meal break they shall not receive further compensation.
Hour Work Schedule. In the event of a determination by the Village to depart from the current work schedule during the term of this Agreement, the Village shall give special consideration to a departmental work schedule of consecutive five (5) nine (9) hour days with three (3) consecutive days off. Such a nine (9) hour day shall include a period of time designated for the purpose of roll call instruction, a one-half (1/2) hour off duty period for lunch, if available, and appropriate breaks in service as necessary. Utilizing such a schedule would render the Village 2052 hours of service. The remaining twenty-eight (28) hours due to the Village shall be allocated in seven (7) four (4) hour sessions and would be conducted under the current departmental policy concerning training.
Hour Work Schedule. SECTION 28.1 Members assigned to the Patrol Division shall work a 12-hour shift schedule.
SECTION 28.2 On the 12-hour shift schedule, shift hours shall be 0700 hours to 1900 hours, 1900 hours to 0700 hours or a close variation providing still days or nights. Employees may bid for a shift pursuant to Article XXVII, Section 27.1. In addition, the employer shall have the exclusive right to assign employees to a specific platoon on a shift.
SECTION 28.3 While employees are working the 12-hour shift schedule, the Employer shall have the right in its sole and exclusive discretion to reschedule employees with a seventy-two (72) hour notice, specifically for training, special events and court. The Employer also has the right to approve or deny an employee's request for time off.
SECTION 28.4 Employees who work 12-hour shifts shall receive four (4) hours of compensatory time at straight time for that pay period.
SECTION 28.5 Temporary trading of shifts between two (2) employees may be done by mutual consent of individuals involved; provided that a minimum of eight (8) hours prior notice shall be given to the Officer in Charge. Partial trades will normally be restricted to a minimum of four (4) hours occurring at either the starting or the final four (4) hours of a twelve (12) hour shift. Partial trades of less than four (4) hours occurring at the starting or ending of the twelve (12) hour shift must be approved by the Platoon Commanders. Multiple shift trades involving more than two (2) employees must be approved by the Chief, or Captain of the Department. The Employer shall retain the right to review and veto or deny any such proposed multiple shift trade when in the reasonable exercise of judgment by the employer such trade would adversely affect the safety and welfare of the citizens of Port Huron and the Port Huron Police Department; and, in the event of such denial, the Employer shall inform the Union of the reason or reasons therefore in writing within a reasonable time after such denial.
SECTION 28.6 No police officer will be required to work more than four (4) hours overtime in addition to the regularly scheduled shift.
SECTION 28.7 Employees who work the 12-hour shift shall receive time and one-half (12) rate of their pay for all time worked over 12 hours.
Hour Work Schedule. All bargaining unit employees shall be assigned to work a twelve (12) hour work schedule (commonly referred to as the “Xxxxxx Schedule”). Cycles shall consist of fourteen (14) calendar days, inclusive of weekends, consisting of two consecutive (2) days on, two (2) consecutive days off, three (3) consecutive days on, two (2) consecutive days off, two (2) consecutive days on, three
Hour Work Schedule. A. All bargaining unit employees, excluding the Detective, shall be assigned to work a twelve (12) hour work schedule. The Employer and the Union can mutually agree to exclude other members from working the twelve (12) hour work schedule.
B. Employees may request a particular team assignment, but such assignment remains the right of the Employer.
C. Employees shall be paid holiday pay at the straight time rate of pay times twelve (12) hours, times eleven (11) holidays, pursuant to Article XIV, sections 12.1 and 12.2.
D. An employee taking a vacation day shall be charged with twelve (12) hours vacation. An employee taking a sick day shall be charged with twelve (12) hours of sick leave. An employee taking a personal day shall be charged with twelve (12) hours personal time. Personal leave time may be taken in less than one (1) day increments with the approval of the Sheriff.
E. The Employer shall have the right in its sole and exclusive discretion to reschedule employees with forty-eight (48) hours notice, specifically for training, special events, and court.
F. Employees working the normal twelve (12) hour schedule, will work eighty four (84) hours per pay period. This time shall be compensated at the straight time rate of pay.
G. Employees who work the twelve (12) hour schedule shall receive time and one-half their regular rate of pay for hours worked in excess of the regular twelve (12) hour day and time and one-half their rate of pay for hours worked in excess of eighty-four (84) hours in the pay period.
H. Employees shall not be required to work more than four (4) hours overtime on a regularly scheduled work day except in the event of a major disaster.
