Payment in Lieu of Sick Leave a) Upon termination of employment for any reason, upon movement from a position subject to the Personnel Code to another state position not subject to the Code, or upon indeterminate layoff, an employee or the employee's estate is entitled to be paid for unused sick leave pursuant to Public Act 90-65.

Payment in Lieu of Sick Leave. Upon termination of employment for any reason, or upon indeterminate layoff, an employee or the employee’s estate is entitled to be paid for unused sick leave which has accrued on or after January 1, 1984 and prior to December 31, 1997, provided the employee is not employed in another position in state service within 4 calendar days of such termination. For purposes of this Section, sick leave is deemed to be used by an employee within the following priority order:
Payment in Lieu of Sick Leave. The Employer shall continue to make payments in lieu of sick leave consistent with Article 4 Section 12, Compensation for Unused Sick Leave of the Lake County Personnel Policies and Procedures Ordinance.

  • Amount of Sick Leave (a) Full-time Employees - Full-time employees shall accumulate sick pay credits at the rate of one and a half (1-1/2) days per month for each calendar month of service up to a maximum credit of 240 days. The Parties agree that full-time employees will not accumulate sick leave credits during the separation period during July and August.

  • Notification of Sick Leave Days The Board shall notify employees and the Bargaining Unit, when they have exhausted their 11 days allocation of sick leave at 100% of salary.

  • Donation of Sick Leave a. If a part-time bargaining unit member is absent due to a major illness, injury or accident, or absent and using Sick Leave in accordance with Article 20, and the member has exhausted all of his/her accumulated Sick Leave, the member may receive up to five (5) days of accumulated Sick Leave from any Part-Time Certified or Part-Time Classified bargaining unit member who wishes to donate these days.   • Expiration of Sick Leave If illness or disability continues beyond the time covered by earned sick leave, the employee may be granted a disability leave or a personal leave in accordance with this Agreement.

  • Utilization of Sick Leave Employees who have accrued paid leave time shall be eligible for paid leave for any period of absence from employment which includes but is not limited to the employee’s illness; injury; temporary disability; medical or dental care; or to attend to members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family or domestic partner or domestic partner’s immediate family, where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or as otherwise required by the state or federal Family Medical Leave Act or other State law. The Employer may, in its sole discretion, require reasonable proof of illness or disability and/or certification of the necessity of the employee’s absence.

  • Extension of Sick Leave Unless an employee otherwise requests in writing, an employee who has used up her sick leave credits shall be granted advanced sick leave with pay for a period up to fifteen (15) days subject to the deduction of such advanced leave from any sick leave credits subsequently earned.

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.

  • Accrued 100% sick leave The use of sick leave under this subsection is at the employee's discretion.

  • Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.
