Peace Corps Leave. Leaves of absence without pay may be granted to all regular employees who serve in the Peace Corps as volunteers. Upon expiration of the leave the employee shall have the right to be reinstated to the position held before the leave was granted and at the salary rates prevailing for such positions on the date of resumption of duty without loss of seniority or other employment rights. Failure of the employee to report within ninety (90) days after termination of service shall be cause for dismissal.
Peace Corps Leave. A one (1) year leave of absence without pay may be granted to any teacher who joins the Peace Corps as a full-time participant in such program. Such leave shall be extended for one (1) year at the request of the teacher.
Peace Corps Leave. Permanent employees who become Peace Corps volunteers may request a leave without pay for the period of their service in the Peace Corps not to exceed one (1) year.
Peace Corps Leave. A leave of absence will be granted for up to two (2) years to any teacher who joins the Peace Corps as a full-time participant in such program. Any period so served shall be treated as time taught for purposes of the salary schedule set forth in this Agreement. Such teacher, in order to take advantage of this subparagraph must make application for reemployment with the District within ninety (90) days after discharge from the Peace Corps; and provided, further, that such teacher reports for his/her teaching assignment at the outset of the semester immediately following such application for reemployment.
Peace Corps Leave. A leave of absence, without salary, will be granted upon written request to third year probationary and fourth year probationary and tenure teachers who elect to join the Peace Corps as full-time participants in such a program. Such leave may not extend for more than one (1) school year and said teacher shall retain and continue to accumulate seniority during his service period, provided that he applies for reinstatement with the school district within thirty (30) days after release from such program. Such teacher shall be returned to his former position as soon as it is practicable to do so.
Peace Corps Leave. A one (1) year leave of absence may be granted to an employee who joins the Peace Corps as a full time participant. Such leave may be extended for up to one (1) year at the request of the participant if this additional period is required to satisfy the duration of such enlistment requirements.
Peace Corps Leave. Leave of absence up to two years shall be granted to any member of the certificated personnel under tenure who joins a Peace Corps program as a full-time participant in such program. Compensation for such services shall be paid by the United States Government, except that any period so served shall be applied to the salary schedule agreed upon by the Orange Education Association and the Board of Education upon the resumption of service in the Orange Public School System.
Peace Corps Leave. A unit member shall be entitled to a two (2) year leave of absence for the purpose of participating in the Peace Corps. No more than two (2) unit members shall be eligible for the leave at any one time.

Any Educator who volunteers and is accepted for service in the overseas or domestic peace or job corps will be given a leave of absence for duration of his/her initial period of service and restored to the same or similar position provided that the Educator returns to his/her employment within ninety (90) days of the termination of his/her service or release from hospitalization from service-connected disability.
Peace Corps Leave. An employee is eligible for a two (2) year leave of absence to serve in the Peace Corps or similar agency.
