PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. In accordance with the accessibility requirements of section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1973, CONTRACTOR must provide physical access, reasonable accommodations, and accessible equipment for Medi-Cal clients with physical or mental disabilities.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. IowaWORKS centers will maintain a culture of inclusiveness and the physical characteristics of the facility, both indoor and outdoor, will meet the latest standards of accessible design. Services will be available in a convenient, high traffic, and accessible location, taking into account reasonable distance from public transportation and adequate parking (including parking clearly marked for individuals with disabilities). Indoor space will be designed in an “equal and meaningful” manner providing access for individuals with disabilities.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. Accessibility to the services provided by the American Job Centers and all Partner agencies is essential to meeting the requirements and goals of Northeast Indiana Works. Job seekers and businesses must be able to access all information relevant to them via visits to physical locations as well as in virtual spaces, regardless of gender, age, race, religion, national origin, disability, veteran’s status, or on the basis of any other classification protected under state or federal law. One-stop centers will maintain a culture of inclusiveness and the physical characteristics of the facility, both indoor and outdoor, will meet the latest standards of accessible design. Services will be available in a convenient, high traffic, and accessible location, taking into account reasonable distance from public transportation and adequate parking (including parking clearly marked for individuals with disabilities). Indoor space will be designed in an “equal and meaningful” manner providing access for individuals with disabilities. The Northeast Indiana WDB will ensure that job seekers and businesses have access to the same information online as they do in a physical facility. Information must be clearly marked and compliant with Section 508 of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services code. Partners will comply with the Plain Writing Act of 2010; the law that requires that federal agencies use "clear Government communication that the public can understand and use" and all information kept virtually will be updated regularly to ensure dissemination of correct information. Partners should either have their own web presence via a website and/or the use of social media. Communications access, for purposes of this MOU, means that individuals with sensory disabilities can communicate (and be communicated with) on an equal footing with those who do not have such disabilities. All Partners agree that they will provide accommodations for individuals who have communication challenges, including but not limited to individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing, individuals with vision impairments, and individuals with speech-language impairments.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. All required Partners will assure the physical accessibility of the Comprehensive One-Stop Center(s), including, but not limited to, the following: The Xxxxxx and Washington One-Stop Centers support a culture of inclusiveness through their facility lay-out. The Centers are accessible for disabled job seekers and employers. The Xxxxxx and Washington One-Stop Centers are located in high-traffic areas with signage indicating the building location. Public transportation is available within reasonable walking distance. The Xxxxxx and Washington One-Stop Centers are located in small towns. Taxi services are available in both locations. Xxxxxx is serviced by public transportation through Jeffco Express (Jefferson County Community Partnership -one of our community partners). A dedicated parking lot, with handicapped spaces is available at the Xxxxxx and Washington Career Centers.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. Physical accessibility refers to the extent to which facilities are designed, constructed, or altered so they are accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. AJC partners will use universal design and human- centered design strategies to help all customers access services. Evaluations of physical accessibility will consider exterior and interior accessibility and will include criteria evaluating how well the AJCs and delivery systems take actions to comply with disability-related regulations implementing WIOA section 188. The physical layout of the Burlington AJC eliminates structural barriers to mobility and is accessible to individuals of all capabilities. The building complies with the most recent ADA standards for Accessible Design and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. The center’s layout supports a culture of inclusiveness, guided by laws and regulations referenced above.

The comprehensive one-stop center will maintain a culture of inclusiveness in compliance with Section 188 of WIOA, the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), and all other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The WIOA Partners shall not unlawfully discriminate, harass or allow harassment against any employee, or applicant for employment due to gender, race, color, ancestry, religion, national origin, veteran status, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition(s), age, sexual orientation or marital status. Partners will assure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and its amendments, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability, as well as other applicable regulations and guidelines issued pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act. Additionally, partners agree to fully comply with the provisions of WIOA, Title VII of the Civil Rights act of 1964, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 29 CRF Part 37 and all other regulations implementing the aforementioned laws. The WIOA Partners also commit to offering priority for services to recipients of public assistance, other low-income individuals, or individuals who are basic skills deficient when providing individualized career services and training services with WIOA adult funds. Additionally, the physical characteristics of the facility, both indoor and outdoor, meet compliance with 29 CFR Part 37, the 2010 or most recent ADA standards for Accessible Design and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. Services will be available in a convenient, high traffic and accessible location taking into account reasonable distance from public transportation and adequate parking (including parking clearly marked for individuals with disabilities). Indoor space will be designed in an “equal and meaningful” manner providing access for individuals with disabilities.
PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. All of our office locations are wheelchair accessible; however, our Rockport building does have a second floor accessible only by stairs as well as only one potential exam room location on the ground floor that accommodates a large wheelchair. Please let us know if you, or anyone accompanying you, require use of a wheelchair during your visit and also let us know if you, or anyone accompanying you, has difficulty at all with stairs, will be using oxygen, etc…If any of this changes prior to your appointment for any reason, please let us know.

The one-stop Site will maintain a website that details all programs and series. All Partners agree that they will provide accommodations for individuals who have communication challenges including, but not necessarily limited to, those individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, individuals with vision impairments, and individuals with speech-language impairments. All partners agree that they will not discriminate in their employment practices or services on the basis of gender, gender identity and/or expression, age, race, religion, national origin, disability, veteran’s status, or on the basis of any other classification protected under state and federal law. Partners must assure that they have policies and procedures in place to address these issues, and that such policies and procedures have been disseminated to their employees and otherwise posted as required by law. Partners further assure that they are currently in compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations regarding these issues. All Partners will cooperate with compliance monitoring that is conducted at the local level to ensure that all American Job Center programs, services, technology, and materials are physically and programmatically accessible and available to all. PHYSICAL ACCESSIBILITY. All Tours require physical independence and mobility. Any physical or mental condition that may require special medical attention or physical assistance (for example, the need for a wheelchair) must be reported in writing when you make your reservation. Participants must be able to embark or disembark vans or motor coaches alone or with minimal assistance from your traveling companion and climb stairs and step over raised thresholds without assistance. Participants requiring assistance must travel with a companion who will be responsible for handling equipment. Please understand that the Americans with Disabilities Act does not apply outside the United States.
