Post-Natal Leave Clause Samples

Post-Natal Leave. On the occasion of the birth of a child, the child’s parent who is not taking a Pregnancy Leave shall be entitled to a leave with full salary and benefits, and without loss of seniority, of up to five (5) working days, to be taken at the discretion of the Employee within four (4) weeks of the birth. An Employee taking such leave shall give the Employer as much advance written notice as possible.
Post-Natal Leave. 26.3.1 On the occasion of the birth of a child, the child's parent who is not taking a Pregnancy Leave shall be entitled to a leave with full salary and, if applicable, benefits of up to five (5) consecutive days, to be taken at the discretion of the Member within four (4) weeks of the birth. A Member taking such leave shall give the Chair and ▇▇▇▇/University Librarian as much advance written notice as possible. 26.3.2 In the event of the death, serious illness, or incapacity of the child's mother, the provisions of Post- Natal Leave shall be those specified for the primary caregiver in 26.5.3.

In the event of the death, serious illness, or incapacity of the child's mother,the provisions of Post-Natal Leave shall be those specified for the primary caregiver in A Member who is a parent and who has been employed by the University for at least weeks before the birth of a child or weeks before a child comes into the parent's custody, care and control for the first time is entitled to an unpaid Parental Leave of up to weeks in the case of the birth mother and weeks for other parents. The Parental Leave of a mother who has taken Pregnancy Leave shall begin when the Pregnancy Leave ends or when the baby first comes into custody, care and control of the parent. For other parents, including adoptive parents, Parental Leave shall commence within weeks of the birth or after the child first comes into the custody, care and control of a parent. The provisions of the Parental Leave shall be in accordance with the EmploymentStandardsAct, and as further amended. A Member shall give written notice to Chair and Librarianof intentionto take a Parental Leave at least weeks prior to the commencement of such leave. Where a Member qualifies for such leave as a result of adoption and where the child comes into the Member's custody, care, and control expectedthe Member shall give reasonablewritten notice. If a Member on Parental Leave wishes to take less than weeks Parental Leave, the Member shall give written notice to Chair and Librarian of intention to return to work at least weeks prior to the expected date of return.
