Preventative Health Care. An employee may use sick leave credits for the purposes of preventative health care measures (e.g., pre-natal instruction, diagnostic testing, physiotherapy) providing she has made every reasonable effort to schedule such appointments outside of working hours. The employee may be required to produce a certificate from a qualified medical practitioner.

Preventative Health Care. Employees may on up to eight (8) occasions per year, with the approval of the Employer use up to a maximum of 24 hours of their accumulated sick leave credits in order to engage in personal preventative medical health and dental care. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. Employees shall provide a minimum of three (3) days’ notice, except in an emergency.
Preventative Health Care. An Employee shall be allowed to use sick leave with pay to engage in personal preventative medical or dental care as per Article 17.01. Employees shall be required to schedule such appointments so as to minimize the duration of absence. Employees may be required to show proof of medical or dental care. Any costs associated with providing proof of medical or dental care shall be paid by the Employer to a maximum of twenty ($20.00). Where possible, an employee’s use of such leave must be approved and reported to their immediate supervisor in advance.
