Promotional Board. 30.04.01.01 This Article shall be administered by a Promotional Board which shall consist of:
a) Co-Chairpersons - Deputy Fire Chief, President IAFF, Local 255 b) Chief Training Officer
Promotional Board. A Promotional Board shall consist of a Deputy Fire Chief, the Chief of Training, a Platoon Chief and one other Chief Officer within the Association, shall be appointed by the Fire Chief. It will review qualifying material, current performance, appraisal(s) and conduct interviews.
Promotional Board. Promotional Board, consisting of Chief, Deputy Chief and Assistant Chief shall convene. An oral examination shall take place and a promotional selection shall be made by the Promotional Board based on the Board's averaged results of the examination. PROMOTION TO CHIEF MECHANICAL OFFICER Promotional Board, consisting of Deputy Chief and Assistant Deputy Chief shall interview all candidates for promotion and shall submit a minimum of two
Promotional Board. 1. Promotional Board will be established for each set of exams. The board will consist of the following:
(1) Fire Chief or designate at his discretion;
(2) Deputy Chief;
(3) an observer appointed by the C.P.F.F.A.
2. The C.P.F.F.A. may not appoint an observer who is a candidate in the examinations. The observer shall be of equal rank or above the promotional rank where possible or if not possible, of equal rank or above the promotional rank from another division.
3. The C.P.F.F.A. observer must withhold any comment until each candidate has completed the examination section in which they are participating.
4. The Deputy Chief will identify responsibilities of the Promotional Board regarding:
(a) setting the examinations;
(b) the examination process;
(c) final marks (component marks and overall xxxx);
(d) candidates ranking; and,
(e) the hearing of appeals
Promotional Board. A Promotional Board comprised of an Officer of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary designated by the Chief of Police, an individual designated by the Association, and an official to act as Chairperson designated by the Newfoundland and Labrador Public Service Commission shall be formed as required.
Promotional Board. Promotional Board, consisting of the Chief, Deputy Chief, and members of the Association consisting of the Assistant Deputy Chief and active Platoon Chiefs shall convene. An oral examination shall take place and a promotional selection shall be made by the Promotional Board based on the Board's averaged results of the examination, after the high mark and low mark have been eliminated from the promotional board participants. "Not Qualified" candidates will be notified by Administration and shall be entitled to an interview with the Deputy Chief within five (5) days from the date of notification, upon request. PROMOTION TO ASSISTANT DEPUTY CHIEF Eligibility for promotion into that rank shall be restricted to those employees presently holding the rank of Platoon Chief for a period of no less than two (2) years. A Promotional Board consisting of the Chief and Deputy Chief will promote based on an interview process. not promoted will be notified by Administration and shall be entitled to an with the Deputy Chief within five (5) days from the date of notification, upon request.
Promotional Board. The Assistant Deputy Chief shall be a member of all Promotional Boards as directed by the Chief Promotional Recommendation Board, to be composed and convened as directed by the Chief.
Promotional Board a) The Promotional Board shall consist of the Fire Chief, Human Resources Representative, Union Local 3139 Member holding the rank of Captain (Determined by the Executive Committee)
b) Each member of the Promotional Bard may use a designate replacement when necessary in the interest of keeping a current process moving forward through vacations or long term absence. The designate names shall be made known to all board members prior to initiating a promotional process.
Promotional Board. In order to assist the Fire Chief in implementing the terms of this Promotional Policy and the collective agreement, the Fire Chief shall establish two (2) promotional boards. One board will be known as the “Promotional Board - Officer Rank” (hereinafter referred to as the “PBOR”), and the other board will be known as the “Promotional Board - Fire Fighter Rank” (hereinafter referred to as the “PBFR”). The PBOR will process promotions from Acting Captain through to Platoon Chief. This Board will consist of: Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, and two (2) Platoon Chiefs. The PBFR will process promotions from Fourth Class Fire Fighter through to First Class Fire Fighter. This Board will consist of Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Director of Training, and a Platoon Chief. The Training Division will assist in the promotional process by:
