Training Division. The Training Division shall work a ten (10) hour day, four (4) day work week, on Tuesday to Friday. Training Division Staff will also vary between a 08:00 start time and 11:00 start to ensure Training Division is covered for the Suppression Division evening training session. The work day start time may be amended (flexible) with at least two (2) weeks’ notice, unless mutually agreed upon. The Chief Training Officer shall work five (5) eight (8) hour days per week. The Assistant Training Officer shall work five (5) eight (8) hour days per week when replacing the Chief Training Officer during a scheduled week off. Training Division personnel scheduled on duty during statutory holidays will receive that day off as scheduled. In the event that Training Division Personnel are scheduled to be off duty during a statutory holiday, that day will be credited to the Training Division personnel as a float (lieu) day. Scheduling of the float lieu shift will be subject to the approval of the Deputy Fire Chief of Training. Training Division personnel once confirmed to instruct a mandatory training session shall not be able to book lieu days during the same time period of the mandatory training.
Training Division. The normal work week for the Training Division is Monday to Friday, from 0800 to 1600 (core hours) and any change thereto will be in accordance with current Training scheduling practices. It is agreed and understood that the normal work week consists of 37.5hrs average. Changes to the normal work week that affect more than ten (10) consecutive work days require a minimum notification of thirty (30) days. The Chief Training Officer will work either a four (4) or five (5) day week, as designated by the Employer.
Training Division. The normal work week for employees assigned to the training division is 40 hours per week. Any deviation from a normal week consisting of four (4) ten-hour days for five (5) eight-hour days shall be mutually agreed upon by union and management.

Training Division. It will be the responsibility of the Training Division to prepare, schedule, administer and mark and/or assemble marking panels for all written exams, lectures, practical exams and oral exams for each Officer Eligibility pool and Fire Fighter re- classifications. It will also be the responsibility of the Training Division to notify the Platoon Chiefs of required evaluations and provide and collect evaluation forms. It will be the responsibility of the Training Division to post a schedule listing written exam dates, openings for practical and oral exams and lectures as required. Notice for any examination will be posted for at least 90 days. The Training Division will also be responsible for co-ordinating any other tests.
Training Division. There shall be assigned to the Training Division one (1) Training Officer/Deputy Chief and one (1) Captain to be assigned as of January 1, 2011. The recruit training school will consist of a minimum of sixteen (16) weeks with an added two (2) weeks for the purpose of trainees being assigned to in service apparatus. During this two (2) week period, the trainees will not count toward minimum staffing. During the eighteen week training academy, recruits will receive two-hundred ($200) dollars less of the weekly salary of the first (1st) year firefighter. Recruits will also not be eligible for any holiday pay or clothing maintenance pay during this period.

Training Division. The position of Training Officer shall work four (4) consecutive days per week consisting of ten hours per day for a total of hours per week. The intent of this article is to provide work schedules to ensure the operational requirements of the division are met. To meet these operational requirements, personnel may be required to work five (5) consecutive days per week consisting of eight (8) hours per day for a total of hours per week. Given the nature of their duties, personnel in the Training Division will be required, from to work flexible hours (i.e. Volunteer training).
