Public holidays - penalty rates. 27.5.1 Double time and a half shall be the rate for all work done on New Year's Day, Australia Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Easter Saturday, Labour Day, Anzac Day, Queen's Birthday, Adelaide Cup Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day:
27.5.2 Provided that if any other day were by Act of Parliament or Proclamation substituted for any of the above named holidays the special rate shall only be payable for work done on the day so substituted.
Public holidays - penalty rates a. Despite any other provision of this clause employees may be requested to work on a public holiday in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009. In the event of any such request, the Company shall endeavour to provide any affected employee at least four (4) weeks’ notice of such requirement. However, it is accepted that less notice, which may be as little as 24 hours prior, may also occur.
b. Payment for working on a public holiday will be at the rate of double time and a half for all hours worked with a minimum payment of four (4) hours.

25.5.2 All time worked on Christmas day and Good Friday will be paid for at the rate of triple time 25.5.3 Provided that if any other day is by Act of Parliament or Proclamation, substituted for any of the above named holidays, the special rate shall only be payable for work done on the day so substituted.

28.4.3 Provided further that the Special rate payable for Picnic Day shall be payable only to employees who work on that day.

45.5.2 Double time shall be the rate for all work done with a minimum payment as for four hours for Union Picnic Day.

If any other day is by Act of Parliament or Proclamation substituted for any of the above holidays, the special rates shall be payable only for the days so substituted.

All work done on New Year's Day, Australia Day, Boxing Day, Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Labour Day, Queen's Birthday, Christmas Day and Melbourne Cup day shall be paid for at the rate of double time and a half. If any other day is substituted by Act of Parliament or Proclamation for any of the days listed above, double time and a half is only payable for work done on the substituted day.

Provided that a shift worker who commences work not earlier than 11.00 p.m. on a Sunday shall only be entitled to be paid at ordinary rates for work done on such Sunday.
