Re-Employment After Leave of Absence. After an approved leave of absence, an employee shall be returned to the position held at the time when the leave was requested, or to a similar position. If an employee is granted a leave of absence for educational purposes, that employee will be given first opportunity for any job opening which occurs in the same or a similar classification to that previously held, and for which the employee is qualified.

Re-Employment After Leave of Absence. No employee shall be entitled to re-employment after having used all of her/his accrued sick/personal leave, except as otherwise provided in this Article. All such employees shall, however, be given consideration for employment in a position for which they are qualified.
