Reduced Work Week Schedule. In the event the University reduces the number of hours in the work week for a Bargaining Unit position, the affected employee shall have ten (10) working daysnotice of the reduction. Notice of such reduction shall concurrently be sent to the Association and to the affected employee. The employee shall, by a written statement, either accept the reduced work week or elect to exercise their seniority rights in accordance with the layoff procedures within five (5) working days after receipt of the notice. After receipt of the notice, the Association may, in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement, request a special conference for the purpose of discussing the reduced work week. A grievance on the impact of the reduction of the work week schedule on any employee may be initiated at the third step of the grievance procedure. In the event any employee has their hours reduced in accordance with this Article, the following shall apply:
