Reimbursement of Sick Leave. Upon an employee’s retirement, she/he shall receive thirty dollars ($30.00) for each unused day of sick leave accumulated up to one hundred forty (140) maximum or thirty dollars ($30.00) for each year of service to the Allegany County Public School System, whichever is greater. Only those years of service and days accumulated while an employee of the Allegany County Public School System are considered for this payment. The Board shall pay the designated beneficiary (so identified to the teacher/employee’s retirement system or teacher/employee’s pension system) of an employee who dies while in active service a death benefit of thirty dollars ($30.00) for each day of her/his sick leave so earned and unused, but not in excess of one hundred forty (140) days, or thirty dollars ($30.00) for each year of service to the Allegany County Public School System, whichever is greater. Only those years of service and days accumulated while an employee of the Allegany County Public School System are considered for this payment.

Reimbursement of Sick Leave. Any employee will be reimbursed for sick leave days charged equivalent to the amount of compensation reimbursed to the District during the first twelve (12) weeks of Workers’ Compensation benefits. Once the District is reimbursed for the wages it paid to the employee while he was absent for a Workers’ Compensation injury, if the employee was absent for more than twelve (12) weeks, the reimbursement from the Workers’ Compensation Board will be applied first to reimburse the District for the cost of health insurance during the employee’s absence (if District health insurance is provided to the employee); second to reimburse the sick bank; and last to reimburse the employee for sick leave used. The value of these reimbursements shall be in proportion to the amount of compensation received by the District.
Reimbursement of Sick Leave. The parties agree that when a Union Executive member is away from the work site on sick leave, and, where the sick leave does not incapacitate the employee and is not contagious to others, and, prohibits the employee from performing their regular job duties, the executive member be permitted to perform their Union duties while on sick leave. Upon retiring from the district with 15 years experience in this district the teacher will be reimbursed for 75% of accumulated sick leave and after 10 years teaching experience in this district, the teacher will be reimbursed for 50% of accumulated sick leave. Rate of pay would be the daily contract rate at the time of separation or the last five years' average daily rate, whichever is greater. Reimbursement of Sick Leave. With the exception of periods of Excessive Sick Leave, sick leave shall be paid directly to the Doctor by the Secondment Hospital for actual costs incurred during the rotation. Neither Party shall pay the other for sick leave entitlements that are taken during a rotation. Excessive Sick Leave payments that arise during the clinical year will be assessed based on the pro-rata EFT position rotated to the Secondment Hospital for each individual cohort (for example - Interns). Re-imbursement will be paid by the Secondment Hospital within 30 days of receipt of “end-of-year” invoice from the Parent Hospital. Replacement for any such leave will be as per normal leave replacement principles and processes.
Reimbursement of Sick Leave. Upon retirement under KPERS or disability, a teacher will be reimbursed for sick leave accumulated while employed with USD 435, unless the teacher is reassigned to a position, in which case the teacher will sign a statement deferring payment until final termination of employment. Teachers will be paid for the days accumulated plus unused days from their annual allocation from their last year of teaching. If a certified staff member has been with USD 435 for over 15 years and should die while still employed, his/her estate would be paid for the unused sick leave at the same rate as the retired teacher (See 8a.iv).

  • Tuition Reimbursement Any regular full time employee covered by this contract is eligible for financial assistance for tuition cost for college or university courses taken in a technical, undergraduate, or graduate program after one (1) complete year of full time County employment. The Employer shall reimburse fifty percent (50%) of tuition cost of up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per year if: 1. Recommended by the employee's supervisor and approved by the Chief Judge of the applicable Court prior to enrollment in the course; and, 2. The course taken meets one (1) of the following criteria: (a) it is directly job related, as determined by the Chief Judge; (b) it is in preparation of a job related promotion; (c) it is required or is elective subject mandatory to obtain a diploma, certificate, or undergraduate degree in preparation for advancement to a higher classification in employment with the Court. 3. Under special circumstances a supervisor may authorize an employee to attend classes during normal working hours. HOWEVER, IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE TO ENSURE THE INDIVIDUAL MAKES UP ALL LOST WORK TIME. 4. Prior to being reimbursed for tuition expenses, the employee must present to the Employer a receipt for payment and proof of a grade of C (or its equivalent) or higher. 5. Employees eligible for education compensation under the veterans G.I. Xxxx or other government sponsored programs will have to exhaust their other benefits prior to being eligible for Employer education benefits. 6. Reimbursement includes tuition only and does not include registration, books, lab fees, etc. 7. Reimbursement is subject to and conditioned upon money being appropriated in the Employer's budget for this specific purpose and employees must apply for the tuition reimbursement by August prior to the calendar year for which the funds are requested so the applicable court can seek funding for the request through the annual budget process. 8. Tuition reimbursement is subject to all IRS required tax withholdings. 9. Repayment to the Employer in one lump sum will be required by an employee who voluntarily resigns or is discharged from employment within three (3) years following completion of coursework. In the event the employee does not continue employment for the prescribed period, the employee will be required to reimburse the Employer on a prorated basis for tuition reimbursement received as follows:
