Relieving in Higher Rated Positions. When an employee temporarily relieves (for one shift or more) in a higher paying position included in this Agreement for which a rate of pay is established, they shall receive the rate for the job. When an employee temporarily (for one shift or more) relieves in a higher paying position included in this Agreement for which a wage range has been established, they shall receive the rate in the salary range.
Relieving in Higher Rated Positions.
(a) When an employee temporarily relieves (for one shift or more) in a higher paying position included in this agreement for which the basic rate of pay is established, he/she shall receive the rate for the job. When an employee temporarily (for one shift or more) relieves in a higher paying position, he/she shall receive the rate in the salary range which is next higher to his/her present rate.
(b) Where an employee in the bargaining unit is temporarily assigned by the Employer to a position which is excluded from the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive 8% more than his/her current rate.
Relieving in Higher Rated Positions. When an employee temporarily relieves (for one shift or more) in a higher paying position included in this agreement for which a flat rate of pay is established, they were shall receive the rate for the job. When an employee temporarily (for one shift or more) relieves in a higher paying position included in this agreement for which a salary range has been established, they were shall receive the rate in the salary range which is next higher to their present rate. Where an employee within the bargaining unit is temporarily assigned by the Employer to the duties of a supervisory or management position which is excluded from the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive 10% above their current rate of pay, whichever is greater.
Relieving in Higher Rated Positions. (a) Where a regular employee within the bargaining unit is temporarily assigned to duties of a supervisory or higher paying position within the bargaining unit, the most senior regular employee who is willing and capable within the same department will be given such assignments and will be paid the supervisor's or higher paying position's rate of pay. Where no regular employee is available or willing to fill such an assignment, it will be offered to the most senior casual employee who is willing and capable to perform the work.
(b) Where an employee within the bargaining unit is temporarily assigned to specialized duties of a management position which is excluded from the bargaining unit, that employee will be paid 10% above their current rate of pay for those days which they perform such specialized duties.
(c) When the Employer is assigning such assignments as in 27.2(b) above, to an employee within the bargaining unit, the Employer will give first consideration to the most senior, available, willing and capable employee within the same department.

The parties agree that the Xxxx II shall receive the Xxxx II rate of pay when the Xxxx I is absent and the Xxxx II does not perform the duties exclusive to the Xxxx I position such as menu planning, ordering, and inventory control.

(a) When an employee temporarily relieves (for one shift or more) in a higher paying position included in this agreement for which a flat rate of pay is established, she/he shall receive the rate in the salary range which is next higher to his/her present rate. Regular employees shall be given the first opportunity to relieve in temporary positions.
(b) The parties agree that those persons classified as supervisor or above will be required to authorize cheques, refunds or voids. However, management shall have the right to designate "signatures" who shall receive a premium of fifty cents (50¢) per hour while carrying out this responsibility in a non-supervisory position.
Relieving in Higher Rated Positions. When an employee temporarily relieves (for one shift four hours or more) in a higher paying position included in this agreement for which a flat rate of pay is established, he/she shall the employee will receive the rate for the job. When an employee temporarily (for one shift four hours or more) relieves in a higher paying position included in this agreement for which a salary range has been established, he/she shall the employee will receive the rate in the salary range which is next higher to his/her their present rate. Where an employee within the bargaining unit is temporarily assigned by the Employer to a position which is excluded from the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive 8% more than his/her current rate. The parties agree that the Cook II shall receive the Cook II rate of pay when the Cook I is absent and the Cook II does not perform the duties exclusive to the Cook I position such as menu planning, ordering, and inventory control.
Relieving in Higher Rated Positions. Where the Employer temporarily assigns an employee to the duties of supervisory personnel outside the bargaining unit, for one (1) shift or more, the employee shall receive ten (10) percent above his/her current rate of pay.
Relieving in Higher Rated Positions.
(a) Where an employee within the bargaining unit is temporarily assigned to assume the principal duties, and not temporary coverage, of a higher paying position within the bargaining unit, they will be paid the higher paying position's rate of pay.
