Benefits for Part. Time Employees (The following clause is applicable to part-time employees only) A part-time employee shall receive in lieu of all fringe benefits (being those benefits to an employee, paid in whole or part by the Hospital, as part of direct compensation or otherwise, including holiday pay, save and except salary, vacation pay, standby pay, call back pay, reporting pay, responsibility allowance, jury and witness duty, bereavement pay, and maternity supplemental unemployment benefits) an amount equal to fourteen percent (14%) of regular straight time hourly rate for all straight time hours paid.

Benefits for Part. Time Employees Part-time employees with regular appointments of at least 17.5 hours per week (35 hours biweekly) will be entitled to group life insurance, extended health, dental and medical benefits, the premiums of which will be paid on a pro rata basis and will be in accordance with the terms and policies of the carriers.
Benefits for Part. Time Certificated Staff Health and Accident Part-time certificated staff with a .5 FTE or more are eligible to receive full health and accident insurance benefits according to the policies governing participation by full-time employees. The following provisions will be applied to those electing to participate.
Benefits for Part. Time Employees for persons employed less than full time are to be provided as specified in Education Code Sections 45136 and 45137. Sick leave and all other benefits accorded members of the unit are to be prorated on the basis of assigned hours worked per day as it bears to eight (8) hours, forty (40) hours per week, weeks per month, or months to a calendar year.

Disabled If an employee becomes disabled with the result that he is unable to carry out the regular functions of his position, the Hospital may establish a special classification and salary with the hope of providing an opportunity of continued employment. Modified Work The and the Union, realizing the benefits to be derived from an or ill employee returned to gainful employment as as possible, agree that they and all employees and supervisors at all levels, will cooperate to the fullest extent to promote the Modified Work Program. To these programs, it is understood and agreed that provisions of the Collective Agreement may, where agreed, be altered. The specific terms of the program will be signed by the Hospital and the Union Proof of inability to perform regular or modified duties, such as medical doctor's certificate or other medical documentation, that is satisfactory to the Hospital, may be required if the employee is absent for three days or more, and is subject to a periodic review thereafter. Such proof ma also be required at any in order for the employee to qualify benefits."
