Overtime Procedure. (a) Any bargaining unit member, qualified for the posted overtime, desiring the opportunity to work overtime shall fill out an “Overtime Add/Remove Request Form.” The two-part form will be given to the supervisor and shift xxxxxxx. When added, the employee will be placed on the bottom of the current overtime roster by adding one (1) hour to the highest hourly total. The overtime roster will be posted in a designated location. When voluntarily removing your name from the roster, you must remain off the list for thirty (30) days. (b) Acceptance or refusal of overtime will be made from this roster by noon on Wednesday. You are encouraged to sign up for overtime even if you are not on the top of the list. If you do not sign by Wednesday at noon, you will be charged as refusing all available overtime. Accordingly, if an overtime assignment is accepted by someone with lower posted hours than you, they will get that overtime. (c) Overtime opportunities will be filled on a basis of least accumulated overtime hours down the list to most accumulated overtime hours. (d) Any employee on the overtime roster may accept or refuse any or all of the overtime opportunity available to them. You will be charged according to 14.5g. (e) In the event no employee on the roster accepts the available overtime, the employer may go off the roster to find a volunteer from current bargaining unit members. If no employee in the unit accepts the available overtime, then the employee with the least amount of accumulated hours on the overtime roster must either accept the overtime or remove themselves from the overtime roster for thirty (30) days. In the event the roster is depleted, the least senior unit employee must take the assignment(s). (f) Employees who accept to work overtime will be expected to work those hours to the same extent as a regular workday and the rules applicable to their regularly-scheduled shift. (g) Each employee will be charged for all overtime accepted (hours worked) and refused (hours posted) based on the availability to that member. 1. In the case of overlapping overtime hours either in the same building or separate buildings, the employee who refuses both will be charged for the lesser amount (hours posted). 2. Employees will be charged at the rate of one and one-half (1.5) hours for each hour of overtime accepted (worked) or refused (posted) for Saturdays and two (2) hours for each overtime hour accepted (worked) or refused (posted) on a Sunday or Holiday. 3. ...

Overtime Procedure. It will be considered necessary overtime when an officer must continue working past his/her regularly scheduled hours of employment to fulfill his/her duty. Administrative approval must first be obtained, provided an administrator is on duty. The sergeant shall give a reasonable account of his/her overtime on his/her daily log. Any denial by the Sheriff to pay overtime shall be accompanied by a written explanation. The employee may appeal the denial of the Sheriff to the grievance procedure contained herein.
Overtime Procedure. Overtime shall be distributed as equally as possible among the employees who normally perform the work in the position classification in which the overtime is needed and within the work shift. Overtime shall be distributed on a rotating basis among such employees on the work schedule who are already not scheduled to work at that time and who are assigned to that shift. If enough personnel cannot be secured to fill the overtime on the needed shift, then employees assigned to other shifts within the division may be offered the available overtime and thereafter the overtime may be offered to other qualified persons in the Office. Overtime created due to a sick call, or other short term emergency conditions (less than 24 hours notice) may be distributed to any available on duty employee working in that position classification, based on seniority. If enough personnel cannot be secured to fill the overtime on the shift, then employees assigned to other shifts within the division may be offered the available overtime and thereafter the overtime may be offered to other qualified persons in the Office. For the purpose of equalizing the distribution of overtime, once an employee has been offered and has accepted the overtime, his or her name shall be placed at the end of the overtime rotation list. Overtime will be deemed offered by sending an e-mail or text message or other accepted or agreed upon electronic means provided by the employee to the Sheriff. Once overtime has been accepted by an employee, it shall become the responsibility of the employee to work the accepted hours. No employee on continuous operations shall leave their post until relieved up to a maximum time of four (4) hours. If all employees in a given shift decline the opportunity to work the offered overtime, the Sheriff may mandate that employees work the overtime from least senior employee to most senior employee. After all employees in said shift have been required to work overtime, the process shall repeat itself. The Union shall be furnished overtime records on request, but not more than on a quarterly basis, except in the event of a bona fide dispute regarding the provisions of this Article, showing the number of overtime hours worked by each employee.
Overtime Procedure. An overtime list of general classification by seniority will be maintained and each employee will be asked to work their turn on a rotation basis for scheduled overtime. If an employee does not work overtime when requested, their name will be bypassed and that turn marked against them and then they must wait until their name is eligible for the next scheduled overtime. The overtime list showing the rotation basis will be kept and posted in each Supervisor's office.

Officers who wish to cancel overtime after they have signed up will be responsible for finding a replacement for the overtime. I. Officers who fail to show for their assigned overtime will lose their overtime privilege for two weeks. J. All overtime will be posted at the Monroe Office. K. Overtime slots can only be signed by the officer in person, Shift Supervisor or Shift Supervisory Secretary.
Overtime Procedure. Where practicable, overtime shall be distributed as equally as possible among employees who normally perform the work in the position classification in which the overtime is needed and within a work unit, regardless of whether the employee is full-time or part-time, as mutually agreed locally by the parties. If current practice provides for a method for the equal distribution of overtime, it shall be maintained unless the parties agree otherwise.
Overtime Procedure. The working of overtime is voluntary on the part of all employees, except as otherwise provided in this Article. Any work assigned to a specific job classification on a regular basis shall normally be performed by persons in that classification during call outs and overtime whenever possible except as otherwise provided in this Article.

Overtime Procedure. Employees will be offered overtime opportunities on a rotational basis. In order of classification seniority provided he/she is present in the plant at the time overtime is offered. However, the company will make an attempt to contact an otherwise eligible employee by telephone. a) Same crew – extended up to 4 hours or come in early up to 4 hours. b) Opposite crew c) Part Time use d) It is understood that employees on an individual basis have the option to bank overtime hours to a maximum of sixty (60) hours. At any time the employee has the option to take time off or to be paid out at a minimum four (4) hour block from the banked amount provided that twenty four hours of notice is provided to management. Time off must be approved by management and will not be unreasonably denied. Exceptional circumstances will be reviewed by management. Banked hours can be claimed no earlier than the following pay period. The Union agrees to use the appropriate number of Banked Hours for the time off requested. (4hours banked time for a four (4) hour pass: 8 hours banked time for a full day off). As a point of clarification the definition of banking overtime is: that an employee can only bank premium time of the overtime pay. (i.e. if an employee works eight (8) hours at time and one half, they can claim eight (8) hours at straight time and bank four (4) hours at straight time in the overtime bank).
Overtime Procedure. (a) Overtime shall first be offered to employees at the site where the work is to be done unless the nature of work requires a maintenance employee. (b) If no site employee is available to accept the overtime, it shall be offered to other employees in the same job classification in the same geographic region. (c) Subject to (a) and (b) and where operationally practical, overtime shall be offered on a rotational basis, beginning with the most senior employee in the job classification. (d) The rotational list shall be posted at each work site, within a month of the employer receiving a list of employees willing to work overtime from the union.

Overtime will be given only at the request of the Director for Facilities and Operations in the following manner when substitutes are not available (see Article XIV, paragraph B for emergency overtime): a. From the building custodial staff rotating "Building Overtime" list made up of those bargaining unit employees assigned to that building who indicate at the start of the semester that they will work the aforementioned overtime. b. When there are no longer volunteers for regular building overtime (as outlined in #1 above) the overtime will be referred to the rotating "Extra Overtime Sign up List A”. 1) For each instance calls will be made from the "Extra Overtime Sign up List A” until it is exhausted. Following these calls, the method of coverage, is an administrative option. An instance is defined as one or more consecutive days of absence for the same reason (i.e. a week-long vacation would be one instance and calls would not have to be made daily). Calls for multiple day coverage and refused will not count towards consecutive refusals or the employees spot in the rotations. An instance cannot go beyond five (5) consecutive work days. 2) If List A is exhausted the method of coverage is an administrative option. 3) If an employee on List A turns down overtime three (3) consecutive times the employee will be moved to List B (special project overtime only). An employee will be placed back on List A at his or her request after three (3) months or when a new list is established in the fall whichever comes first. 4) Overtime must be authorized by the Operations Office. 5) Shifts may be adjusted to fit the need of the District's overtime. 6) The District has the right to designate the hours and duration of overtime, i.e., extended workdays, absent, etc. a) If an employee is called to work prior to the start of his/her regular shift, the employee will have the option to work eight (8) hours or eight (8) hours in addition to pre-authorized overtime hours if approved by the Director for Facilities and Operations. 7) In the absence of the #1 custodian he #2 custodian may assume his/her shift, at #1 custodian rate of pay, if so requested, and approved by the Director for Facilities and Operations.
