Sabbatical Leave for Study. Applicants shall submit a detailed program of academic study, either graduate or undergraduate and pursue a full load or the equivalent thereof as determined by the Sabbatical Leave Com- mittee.
Sabbatical Leave for Study. 12.12.2.1 A unit member on leave for study shall complete and receive credit with a pass or passing grade on at least eighteen (18) semester units of work during a sabbatical year, not less than eight (8) semester units of which shall be completed during each semester while on leave. These courses shall be exclusive of correspondence courses.
12.12.2.2 If approved by the Recommending Committee, a special project or research problem may be substituted for the unit requirements.
12.12.2.3 Transcripts or other evidence of completion shall be submitted within sixty (60) calendar days of the unit member’s return to duty.
12.12.2.4 If credit is claimed for salary classification or increment, transcripts must be filed in accordance with Article 10.4 of this Agreement.
Sabbatical Leave for Study a. Minimum amount of work required of teachers on sabbatical leave for a period of one (1) school year shall be meeting the requirements of either residential or extension courses which provide a total credit of three (3) majors (nine (9) semester hours).
b. At least one (1) major of credit (three (3) semester hours) must be earned in each university quarter of the regular year.
c. No credit is allowed for work done during a summer session.
d. Courses must be taken in an approved institution of higher education and must be started and completed during the leave.
e. A transcript of credits must be submitted upon expiration of sabbatical leave.
Sabbatical Leave for Study. 24-4-1 Sabbatical leave for study is leave granted for the purpose of improving instruction in the District.
Sabbatical Leave for Study. 6.1.1. During a sabbatical, an employee shall complete at least nine accredited semester units, or their equivalent, of courses approved in advance per semester, and the employee shall be credited for one complete semester or year of service for salary increment purposes.
6.1.2. Transcripts or other evidence of completion shall be submitted to the Human Resources Department within sixty (60) days of the employee's return to duty, except that if credit is to be claimed for salary classification or for increments, transcripts must be received by the District’s Human Resources office by November 30 to affect salary placement for that current academic year (Article 20.D.5).
6.1.3. A special project or research problem may be substituted for the unit requirement if it is approved in advance by the Chancellor or his/her designee.
Sabbatical Leave for Study. Sabbatical leaves shall be granted for the purpose of full-time graduate study or research or extensive travel. A unit member shall complete twenty-four (24) semester units of study, which is related to the unit member's assignment. Not less than eight

Sabbatical Leave for Study. An administrator who has served in the school district satisfactorily for a period of at least seven (7) years may be granted, with compensation, a leave of absence for study or observation for a minimum of six (6) months and a maximum period of one (1) year. Such salary shall be one-half of the scheduled salary which an administrator would have received had such leave not been granted. The administrator granted such leave shall be paid the scheduled salary that he/she would have received had he/she not had a Sabbatical Leave. The salary placement, however, is to be granted only after a statement of work at college has been submitted and approved by the Superintendent of Schools.
a. Formal Graduate Study. A minimum of sixteen (16) points or credits per semester in the individual's own field of work or closely related field.
b. Writing a Doctoral Thesis.
c. Scheduled travel, planned in consultation with the Superintendent.
