Scheduling Work Periods. After the date of the ratification of this contract changes to an employee’s work period may be established by agreement between the hospital and individual employee or a group of employees within a particular unit or department taking into consideration such factors as employee interest, patient care needs, turnover and vacancy rates, the use of overtime and agency employees and employee morale. The process may be initiated by either the employee or the Department Director. If the participating employee(s) and their Director agree upon a new work period, it will be reduced to writing and submitted to the Human Resources Director for approval. If approved by the Human Resources Director, a written copy of the agreement will be given to the Union. With thirty days (30) notice KVH may change an employee’s work period to an eight (8) hour work period, however for all other periods, KVH and the employee must mutually agree before reverting back to a previously scheduled work period. The Hospital has the right to designate for new hires their work period.

  • Work Periods 10.02 Work Periods shall be:

  • Work Period The normal work period shall consist of forty (40) hours of work within a seven (7) day period or eighty (80) hours of work within a fourteen (14) day period.

  • Preparation Periods 31-1 The School District agrees to maintain daily preparation periods during the student day in all junior and senior high schools. At schools where block scheduling is in effect, the total preparation time provided shall be equal to the preparation time provided at schools not operating on a block schedule.

  • Break Periods The parties agree that the paid rest period contemplated by Article 16(e) shall be taken during times that will not interfere with the operation of the Strong Start Centre.

  • Planning Periods Teachers in secondary schools shall receive not less than 225 minutes of unassigned planning time on a weekly basis and shall be scheduled for one unassigned planning period per day of not less than forty-five (45) consecutive minutes. Neither this provision, nor 8.8 below will apply during times when the normal school schedule must be adjusted during emergencies; or in cases when an individual teacher has requested in writing to teach more than the usual number of periods for teachers in that subject in that school, or in the case of a teacher who volunteers for other school activities during the scheduled unassigned planning period.

  • Review Periods Owner shall have up to ten (10) Business Days from its receipt of the documents listed in Sections 1.3 and 1.4 above, to issue to Contractor written comments on such documents, Drawings and Specifications. The Owner’s approval rights only apply to documents listed in Section 1.3. If comments are not received for items listed in Section 1.3 in ten (10) Business Days, the Contractor may proceed with the development of the Drawings and Specifications with the design reflected in the uncommented document. Owner will annotate the Drawings and Specifications as appropriate and return to Contractor. In the event that Owner disapproves the Drawings or Specifications, Owner shall provide Contractor with a written statement of the reasons for such rejection within the time period required for Owner’s response, and Contractor shall provide Owner with agreed to revised and corrected Drawings and Specifications as soon as possible thereafter.

  • Normal Work Period The normal work period shall consist of not less than eighty (80) hours of work nor more than 86 hours of work and ten (10) work days within a fourteen (14) consecutive calendar day work period.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as closely as possible to the middle of the workday. The length of the meal period shall be not less than thirty (30) minutes and not more than sixty (60) minutes.

  • Starting Work An employee who starts work and is prevented from completing his normal work day shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at his prevailing hourly rate. The employee shall also receive his full accommodation allowance if and when applicable.

  • Warranty Periods All warranties begin to run from the date Material Completion is achieved.
