Key Definitions As used herein, the following terms shall have the following respective meanings:
Overtime Definition Overtime shall be defined as being all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day, or in excess of the normal or standard work week. The overtime rate shall be one and one-half (1½) times the regular straight time hourly rate of pay. NOTE: Article 16.04 is applicable to full-time employees only.
Overtime Defined All time worked before or after the regular work day, the regular work week or on a holiday, as specified herein, shall be considered overtime.
Seniority Defined Seniority is defined as the total length of service in the bargaining unit as an employee, regardless of occupational change. Seniority shall be used as one of the factors in determining preference or priority for promotion, transfers, demotions, terminations and layoff caused by force reductions and recall. Seniority shall operate on a bargaining unit wide basis.
Grievance Definition A grievance is an allegation by an employee or a group of employees that there has been a violation, misapplication, or misinterpretation of this Agreement, which occurred during the term of this Agreement. The term “grievant” as used in this Article includes the term “grievants.”
Grievance Defined A grievance is defined as an alleged breach of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. It is the desire of the parties to this Agreement that grievances be adjusted informally wherever possible and at the first level of supervision.
Grievance Definitions A grievance shall be defined as any difference arising out of an interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of this Collective Agreement. A grievance shall be categorized as follows:
Seniority Definition Seniority shall be defined as continuous service from date of original appointment to a full-time bargaining unit classification regardless of teaching assignment. All leaves of absence will be used in computing the length of service.
