School Staff Advisory Committee a) In order to ensure staff involvement in matters affecting school organization, a School Staff Advisory Committee will be established in every school. The Workplace Xxxxxxx will be a member of the Committee. This Committee will participate in an advisory capacity with the Principal in the school organization, scheduling of staff meetings and parent-teacher interviews, scheduling of instructional time, including preparation time and supervision duties. Individual teaching assignments shall not be considered by the School Staff Advisory Committee. It is understood that extra-curricular activities are activities organized for students by teachers on a voluntary basis and which occur outside the regular instructional program. The scheduling of extra-curricular activities will be shared with the School Staff Advisory Committee.

This committee will participate in an advisory capacity with the principal in the school organization, scheduling of instructional time, including preparation time for the following school year, using organizational proposals and/or suggestions submitted by staff. This committee shall also be consulted if staff reorganization is required in September. Individual teaching assignments shall not be considered by the School Staff Advisory Committee. The committee shall be in place from October 1 to September 30. Committee membership will be forwarded to the Superintendent of Elementary Education and the ETFO Bluewater Local President by October 1.
School Staff Advisory Committee. 12.06 Members of the Committee will be representative of the school teaching staff, including the Workplace Xxxxxxx. This Committee will participate, in an advisory capacity, with the principal in the school organization, scheduling of instructional time, including preparation time for the following school year, room usage, using organizational proposals and/or suggestions submitted by staff, scheduling of parent/teacher interviews, setting report cards due dates and school supervision schedule. This committee shall also be consulted if staff reorganization is required in September. Individual teaching assignments shall not be considered by the School Staff Advisory Committee. When the budget is finalized, the principal will share with the School Staff Advisory Committee, the total budget allocation for the school and the amount of funds for professional learning, classroom and programming use and non-restricted funds. The Committee shall be in place from October 1 to September 30. The Committee shall meet a minimum of three (3) times, ie., September, February, and May, per school year or at the request of either party.

Note: See Letter of Understanding Guidelines for School Staff Advisory Committee (Appendix Union Consultation Regarding Major Changes to Schools The Board agrees to consult with the Union Local, through the Liaison Committee established in Article on issues of, school openings or closures, changes in grade ranges of schools, and program cancellation or introduction. Where students are in elementary school programs, and the physical location of the class/grades normally considered to be in elementary schools changes, those students will continue to be taught by elementary teachers.
