Section 10.10.2. 14 Affected employees placed on the reemployment list will be called on a rotation basis to substitute in 15 any position for which they are qualified.
Section 10.10.2. 35 The District shall notify any and all employees on the re-employment list of reestablished or 36 additional classified positions within a reasonable amount of time prior to the award of such 37 positions. Notification shall include the job description(s) and effective employment date.
Section 10.10.2. 47 The employee who is on leave may return to work, provided a vacancy exists for which the 48 employee is qualified. If an employee rejects an offer by the District for reemployment upon 1 return from leave, said employee shall forfeit seniority and all other accrued benefits; provided 2 that said position is substantially equal to that held by the employee prior to going on leave 3 status. Substantially equal shall be within two (2) hours per day at the same rate, or the same 4 hours within ten percent (10%) of the hourly rate.
Section 10.10.2. 12 The employee will retain accrued sick leave, vested vacation rights, and seniority rights while 13 on leave of absence. However, vacation credits and sick leave shall not accrue while the 14 employee is on leave of absence.
Section 10.10.2. 44 Employees offered reemployment shall be notified in writing by certified mail. Such employee 45 shall have ten (10) calendar days to respond to the offer. If the employee fails to respond within 46 the timeframe they will forfeit employment rights.
Section 10.10.2. 40 Employees on layoff status shall file their addresses in writing with the personnel office of the 41 District and shall thereafter promptly advise the District in writing of any change of address.
Section 10.10.2. 27 The District agrees to utilize employee(s) that have currently had a reduction in hour(s) and/or 28 are in layoff status for prearranged absences of other employee(s) that are in advance notice of 29 ten (10) workdays or more before utilizing substitutes. Shall absences be less than ten (10) 30 workdays notice the District shall rotate between substitutes and employee(s) that are on 31 reduced hour(s) or layoff status. 32

Section 10.10.2. 15 The District will attempt to utilize laid off personnel as substitutes whenever possible, provided 16 the laid off individual so requests in writing to be used as a substitute.
Section 10.10.2. 15 Should the need for layoff occur, employees will be laid off in their general job classification 16 by seniority. In the event of layoff, employees so affected are to be placed on a reemployment 18 in filling any opening not claimed by present senior employees, in the classification held 19 immediately prior to layoff. Returning employees will be brought back in accordance with the 20 seniority ranking. Names shall remain on the reemployment list for one (1) year.
