Section 10.12. 24 An employee shall forfeit rights to re-employment as provided in Section 10.10 if the employee does 25 not comply with the requirements of Section 10.11, or if the employee does not respond to the offer of 26 re-employment within fifteen (15) calendar days.

Section 10.12. 21 An employee on layoff status who twice rejects an offer of re-employment forfeits seniority and all other 22 accrued benefits; provided, that such employee is offered a position substantially equal to that held prior 23 to layoff.
Section 10.12. 5 In the event of layoff, the District will determine the number and type of classifications to be reduced. If 6 there is more than one employee in a classification that is to be reduced, the employee with the earliest 7 seniority date shall have preferential rights when ability and performance are substantially equal with 8 junior employees. If the District determines that seniority rights should not govern because a junior 9 employee possesses ability and performance substantially greater than a senior employee, the District 10 shall set forth in writing its reasons why to the employee(s).
Section 10.12. 26 Employees on layoff status shall file their addresses in writing with the personnel office of the District 27 and shall thereafter promptly advise the District in writing of any change of address.

Section 10.12. 46 An employee on layoff status who rejects an offer of reemployment forfeits seniority and all other 47 accrued benefits; provided, that such employee is offered a position substantially equal to that held 48 prior to layoff. 6 The District shall have the right to discipline or discharge an employee for justifiable cause. The issue 7 of justifiable cause shall be resolved in accordance with the grievance procedure hereinafter provided.

An employee on layoff status who rejects an offer of 12 employment similar in wages, hours, and working conditions will be removed from layoff status.
