Section 13.7. 2 All new or open positions shall first be posted within the bargaining unit for five (5) workdays. No out- 3 of-district applicants will be considered until after the period of internal posting is completed. 5 During the summer months and extended holidays, notice of classified positions will be posted in the 6 District office, on the District website, sent to the President of the Association or designee, and mailed to 7 each employee that has made a previous request in writing for such postings. Postings will be made as 8 soon as positions are available.
Section 13.7. 24 All present employees subject to this Agreement who are not members of the Association on the 25 execution date of this Agreement will not be subject to this Article.
Section 13.7. 24 The parties agree to recognize the advantage of having cross-training opportunities for employees 25 seeking to acquire skills related to other bargaining unit positions. Employees requesting training, who 26 are approved by the district, shall be considered to be on their own time when they are participating 27 outside of their normal employment hours. Employees providing training and/or direction with 28 District approval shall be considered on the clock. 29 32 A R T I C L E X I V 33 34 ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP AND CHECKOFF 36 Section 14.1. 37 Each employee subject to the Agreement who, on the effective date of this Agreement, is a member of 38 the Association in good standing shall, as a condition of employment, maintain membership in the 39 Association in good standing during the period of this Agreement. 40 41 Section 14.2. 42 All employees subject to this Agreement who are hired at a time subsequent to the effective date of this 43 Agreement, will, as a condition of employment, become members in good standing of the Association 44 within thirty (30) days of the hire day. Such employee will then maintain membership in the 45 Association in accordance with the previous section.
Section 13.7. 25 District Security staff shall be required to complete training on thirteen (13) mandated topics within six 26 (6) months of starting their position. Requirements also include two days of on-the-job training and six 27 (6) check-ins with identified experienced staff. ESDs are required to develop and administer an annual 28 safety and security staff training program that meets these training requirements. Classroom training 29 can be done remotely or in-person, synchronously or asynchronously. Notification will be provided 30 thirty (30) days prior to the training being offered, if possible. Registration fees shall be covered by the 31 district and if the training will be conducted outside of the employees regular contracted day, the 32 employee shall be paid their regular rate of pay. Current security staff hired prior to this agreement 33 shall be allowed to complete this training within six (6) months from the first day of school, unless 34 otherwise agreed upon by the parties. 35 36 37 38 ARTICLE XIV 39 40 ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP AND CHECKOFF 41
Section 13.7. 26 If a position is reduced by four (4) hours or more, or is discontinued, the employee may displace the 27 most junior employee in the same job classification provided they can perform the junior employee’s

Section 13.7. 40 Employees possessing a valid general journey level electrician (01) certificate or a journey level 41 plumber certificate shall receive an additional $1.25 per hour above their regular hourly wage rate for 42 all hours worked in the position. Employees are only entitled to receive compensation based on one 43 specialized certificate. Employees are responsible to annually submit proof of such certificate and to 44 maintain such certification as current to continue to receive the additional increase. Employees failing 45 to maintain the certificate are not eligible to receive the additional hourly increase and shall notify the 46 District of the certificate’s expiration. 2 A R T I C L E X I V 4 MAINTENANCE OF MEMBERSHIP AND CHECKOFF
Section 13.7. 46 The District will offer at least two (2) professional development trainings on behavior management 47 each year through pdEnroller. Registration shall be open to all paraeducators to attend. Employees 48 shall be paid for the time spent in such trainings or offered clock hours.
Section 13.7. 5 As soon as possible after hire but in no case more than twenty (20) days union representatives will be 6 provided with access of half (½) hour to new employees who will be paid for that time. One (1) 7 assigned union representative will be provided paid time to make this presentation. Such access will 8 be exclusively for access by union representative to new employees and not part of some other activity. 12 ARTICLE XXX 00
Section 13.7. 5 The Association will indemnify and hold the District harmless against any claims brought against the 6 District resulting from the District’s compliance with this Article. 10 A R T I C L E X I V 12 GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE 13 14 Section 14.1. 15 Grievances or complaints arising between the District and its employees within the bargaining units 16 defined in Article I herein, with respect to matters dealing with the interpretation or application of the 17 terms and conditions of this Agreement, shall be resolved in strict compliance with this Article. 18
