SECTION 4 – JURY DUTY. 26 A. Upon receiving notification to report to serve on jury duty, jury panel or jury test, 27 an Employee shall immediately notify his/her immediate supervisor. If an Employee is used for jury 28 duty and submits proof of report for same, s/he shall receive time off with pay at his/her regular rate 1 of pay for his/her regular assignment, not to exceed eight hours per day for each day served. 2 Compensation received for jury duty must be forwarded to METRO; however, reimbursement for 3 travel expenses may be retained by the Employee.

SECTION 4 – JURY DUTY. An employee shall be granted leave with pay at the regular rate any time he/she is required to report for jury service, in-lieu-of jury service fees which shall be paid over to the County. Should an employee be required to miss work because of court appearances as a party or as a witness, the employee shall not receive pay for that amount of work time missed, except as provided in Section 5 of this Article.
SECTION 4 – JURY DUTY. An employee who is summoned and reports for jury duty, as prescribed by applicable law, for each day he/she performs jury duty and he/she would otherwise would have been scheduled to work, shall be paid the difference between what he/she received from the Court as daily jury fees and what he/she would have earned from his regular scheduled work in the district on such day. Meal and mileage allotments are not considered part of jury duty fees.
SECTION 4 – JURY DUTY. When an employee is summoned for jury duty, he/she shall immediately notify the Sheriff or his/her designee. The employee summoned for jury duty will be assigned to work primarily “B” Line and will report to jury duty as required. Any day the employee is not required by the court to spend the entire day in court, or is dismissed as a juror, he/she shall report to the Sheriff’s Office to complete his/her eight (8) hour tour of duty. An employee serving as a juror shall not be entitled to overtime pay while serving, but shall be entitled to a maximum of eight (8) hours of his/her straight time rate of pay per day. Any stipend or fee, except mileage and parking, which the employee receives for serving on jury duty shall be turned over to the County. The employee shall submit to the Sheriff’s Office written verification from the Court System as to the dates and times served on jury duty.
SECTION 4 – JURY DUTY. A seniority employee who is called to and reports for jury service shall be paid an allowance for each day the employee is scheduled to work and is unable to work due to service as a juror, not to exceed a total of thirty (30) days in any calendar year. The allowance will be the difference, if any, between the employee's regular shift hours times the hourly rate and the payment received for jury service for the days the employee would otherwise have worked up to the thirty (30) day maximum. In order to receive payment, an employee must (1) give the District prior notice that he/she has been summoned for jury duty and (2) furnish evidence satisfactory to the Employer that jury duty was performed on the days for which the employee qualifies for and claims payments.
SECTION 4 – JURY DUTY. Any employee who serves on jury duty, or who is subpoenaed to testify regarding a job-related matter shall receive full pay and benefits, upon submittal of documentation from the jurisdiction in which the jury duty or subpoena was complied with (subpoena, check stub for expenses, etc.).
