Shift, Sunday Premiums. (a) Premiums shall be paid on scheduled shifts of classified jobs in accordance with the following schedule in addition to the regular straight-time hourly rates. (Exception: Cook Nuclear Plant bargaining units shift/Sunday premiums are addressed in the respective Local Agreements)

Shift, Sunday Premiums. (a) Premiums shall be paid on scheduled shifts of classified jobs in accordance with the following schedule in addition to the regular straight-time hourly rates. Day Shift. Where the majority of the scheduled 0.0¢ hours worked are as designated in Local Agreements. Afternoon Shift. Where the majority of the scheduled 80.0¢ hours worked are as designated in Local Agreements Night Shift. Where the majority of the scheduled 85.0¢ hours worked are as designated in Local Agreements Sunday. Where the majority of the scheduled $1.10 hours worked are as designated in Local Agreements. (b) Where a shift overlaps from one day into another the shift shall be paid for at the rate pertaining to the day in which the majority of its hours fall. (c) The Sunday premium is in addition to the employee's straight-time rate and any applicable shift premium, but this Sunday premium will not apply to any hours for which an employee is paid at a rate equal to or in excess of one and one-half (1½) times his regular straight-time rate. (d) If during the course of a regularly scheduled workweek, an employee is paid Afternoon or Night Shift premium in addition to his regular straight-time hourly rate and such employee also works overtime, the hourly rate for the overtime work shall include the following increments: • Where the majority of the employee's shift premium hours during the work week were paid at the Afternoon Shift rate - 80.0¢ • Where the majority of the employee's shift premium hours during the work week were paid at the Night Shift rate - 85.0¢ (e) Shift differentials shall be added to employee’s rate of pay prior to application of overtime rates.
Shift, Sunday Premiums. All current and new job locations in Geographical Area 1, or any job location in other Geographical Areas that provided premium pay for work on Sundays and/or a shift differential as of April 30, 2008, shall provide those premiums and/or differentials, for the life of this Agreement, under the following conditions: Any employee who works fifty percent (50%) of his/her hours, or more, between midnight and 8:00 a.m. shall receive a shift premium of twenty cents (20¢) per hour for his/her entire shift. Lunch period, even though unpaid, shall be considered as time worked for the purpose of determining whether an employee has worked fifty percent (50%) of his/her hours, or more, between midnight and 8:00 a.m. This Shift Premium, where applicable, shall be included in the employee’s base rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime. Any employee other than a watchperson or a retail store employee who works on Sunday shall receive a Sunday shift premium of fifty cents (50¢) per hour for all hours worked on Sunday, or for his/her entire shift if the shift starts on Sunday.

  • Sunday Premium Any employee who is required to work at any time on a Sunday shall be paid a Sunday premium in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay in the amount of seventy-five (75¢) cents per hour, for each such hour and portion of an hour worked. Sunday premium pay shall not be added to an employee's hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime. The provisions of this Article shall not apply to the “in charge” employees referred to in sub-articles 23.03 and 23.04 of this Agreement.

  • Holiday Premium Pay A Nurse working on a recognized Holiday is entitled to the following compensation for any hours worked on the calendar date of the recognized Holiday: A. A Full-Time or Part-Time Nurse who is regularly scheduled to work on a recognized Holiday shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times (1.5 x) the Nurse’s regular rate of pay; or B. A Nurse who works overtime (as defined in Article 7.07) on a recognized Holiday shall be paid at the rate of two times (2 x) the Nurse’s regular rate of pay for the overtime worked.

  • HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 165. 1. A holiday is calculated based on an eight hour day. The following days are designated as holidays: January 1 ( New Year's Day) the third Monday in January (Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s birthday) the third Monday in February (Presidents' Day) the last Monday in May (Memorial Day) July 4 (Independence Day) the first Monday in September (Labor Day) the second Monday in October (Columbus Day) November 11 (Veterans' Day) Thanksgiving Day the day after Thanksgiving December 25 (Christmas Day) 166. Provided further, if January 1, July 4, November 11 or December 25 falls on a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work. B. On each of the holidays designated above, each part-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee’s basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

  • Saturday and Sunday Work (a) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday, the employee will be paid a loading of 50% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period. (b) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday, all employees excluding home care employees will be paid a loading of 75% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period. (c) Casual employees will be paid in accordance with Clauses 35(a) and 35(b). The rates prescribed in Clauses 35(a) and 35(b) will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the casual loading prescribed in Clause 12.5(b). (d) These extra rates will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the shift penalties prescribed at Clause 38 Shiftwork.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall be a Saturday or a Sunday or shall be a legal holiday in the State of New York, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding day not a legal holiday.

  • Shift and Weekend Premium (a) An employee shall be paid a shift premium of eighty-five cents (85¢) per hour for each hour worked between the hours of 1500-0700 hours. (b) Effective July 1, 2013, an employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday, or such other forty-eight (48) hour period as the local parties may agree upon or as defined in the Collective Agreement. If an employee is receiving premium pay pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, the employee will not receive weekend premium under this provision.
