Sunday Premiums. All work performed by employees within a normal daily tour, except while on Emergency Call-Out, Article 27, which begins on a Sunday (this being a Sunday tour) shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times the employee's basic hourly rate. Payments for Sunday work in excess of a normal daily tour, shall be as specified in the preceding Section 2 of this Article. A Category IV employee assigned by the Company to work three or more consecutive Sunday tours, shall be paid for time worked on the third consecutive Sunday and each subsequent consecutive Sunday, additional compensation computed at one-half the employee's basic hourly rate (one-half the employee's straight-time rate). For the purpose of administering this latter provision, a Category IV employee who is assigned to work on a Sunday and who voluntarily effects a change with some other employee to work for her shall not be deemed to have interrupted the continuity of her assigned Sundays but that Sunday shall be considered as a Sunday off for the said other employee in determining the continuity of her assigned Sundays.

Sunday Premiums. A. For all employees hired prior to January 25, 1996, all employees, except Courtesy Clerks, shall be paid for all hours scheduled or worked on Sundays at the premium rate of one dollar ($1.00) above the employee’s regular straight-time hourly pay rate. Effective July 10, 1991, the Sunday Premium shall henceforth be one and one-fourth (1¼) times the employee’s regular straight- time hourly pay rate. Effective July 10, 1992, the Sunday Premium shall henceforth be one and one- half (1½) times the employee’s regular straight-time hourly pay rate. B. For employees hired on or after January 25, 1996, all employees except Courtesy Clerks shall be paid for all hours scheduled or worked on Sundays at the premium rate of one dollar ($1.00) above the employee’s regular straight-time hourly rate of pay. Effective August 1, 1997, the premium shall henceforth be one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) above the employee’s regular straight-time hourly rate of pay. Effective August 1, 1998, the premium shall henceforth be one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) above the employee’s regular straight-time hourly rate of pay.
Sunday Premiums. A flat rate premium of fifteen dollars ($15.00) will be paid for each completed shift worked on Sunday. For an employee who works on a Sunday and is paid overtime for the entire scheduled shift, a Sunday premium will not be applicable. Sunday work shall be defined by the day on which the work commenced. Duty commenced on Saturday and not completed until the early hours of Sunday morning will be reported as Saturday time and paid without the premium. Duty commenced on Sunday and not completed until the early hours of Monday morning will be considered and reported as Sunday work and will be subject to the stipulated flat rate premium.

For the purpose of this provision, Sunday shall be deemed to be the 24 hours beginning with the shift-changing hour nearest to 12:01 A.M. Sunday. C. Regular rate of pay, as the term is used in Paragraph A. of this Subsection, shall mean the hourly rate which the employee would have received for the work had it been performed during non-overtime hours.

  • Sunday Premium Any employee who is required to work at any time on a Sunday shall be paid a Sunday premium in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay in the amount of seventy-five (75¢) cents per hour, for each such hour and portion of an hour worked. Sunday premium pay shall not be added to an employee's hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime. The provisions of this Article shall not apply to the “in charge” employees referred to in sub-articles 23.03 and 23.04 of this Agreement.

  • Holiday Premium Pay A Nurse working on a recognized Holiday is entitled to the following compensation for any hours worked on the calendar date of the recognized Holiday: A. A Full-Time or Part-Time Nurse who is regularly scheduled to work on a recognized Holiday shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times (1.5 x) the Nurse’s regular rate of pay; or B. A Nurse who works overtime (as defined in Article 7.07) on a recognized Holiday shall be paid at the rate of two times (2 x) the Nurse’s regular rate of pay for the overtime worked.

  • Holiday Pay A. On each of the holidays designated above, each full-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work. B. On each of the holidays designated above, each part-time employee scheduled to work but permitted to take the day off shall receive pay computed at the employee’s basic hourly rate for the number of hours the employee was regularly scheduled to work.

  • HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 165. 1. A holiday is calculated based on an eight hour day. The following days are designated as holidays: January 1 ( New Year's Day) the third Monday in January (Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s birthday) the third Monday in February (Presidents' Day) the last Monday in May (Memorial Day) July 4 (Independence Day) the first Monday in September (Labor Day) the second Monday in October (Columbus Day) November 11 (Veterans' Day) Thanksgiving Day the day after Thanksgiving December 25 (Christmas Day) 166. Provided further, if January 1, July 4, November 11 or December 25 falls on a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday.

  • Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

  • Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Holiday Coinciding with a Day of Vacation Where an employee is on vacation leave and a day of paid holiday falls within that period, the paid holiday shall not count as a day of vacation.

  • Paid Holiday Bank Employees qualify in accordance with the collective agreement. The paid holidays are identified in the Collective Agreement. Credit to the paid holiday bank will occur on the date of the holiday. Drawing from the paid holiday bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours paid for every hour taken (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid).

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.
