Shifts/Rest Periods/Lunches a) On any one or two-shift operation, there will be a two 10 minute paid breaks and one 30 minute unpaid lunch. b) On each three shift operation (i.e. line) there will be one, 10 minute break and a 20 minute paid lunch. However, the Company reserves the right to find an alternative work schedule that may create the opportunity of having employees work for a full 8 hours shift and get a 30 minute unpaid lunch. In this instance, an employee will get a two, 10 minute breaks. The full 8 hours shift will apply to Oshawa effective 6 months after the amendments are ratified. The Oshawa facility management and the Union committee agree to discuss and review any alternative shift arrangements that allows for the implementation of the full 8-hour shift. The parties agree to reach mutual agreement on the most optimal shift alternative. As per the memorandum of settlement September 20, 2002, the Company proposes that each plant predetermine shifts and consider no rotation to suit the particular needs of the plant as per both parties. c) The regular shifts shall be as follows for all employees:

In the event that the company requires a third shift, this will be a steady night shift. d) Employees will be permitted to leave the plant during their lunch period, provided they follow the established plant entry and exit procedures, and such time will be docked accordingly. e) Shift change Requests are to be filled out and given to the supervisors affected within one (1) working day, and such requests will not be unreasonably denied. Any denials will be in writing with an explanation. When an employee changes shifts within the classification, he/she brings their seniority with them to the other shift. However, seniority cannot be used to bump into another classification. f) Mutually agreed steady shift jobs will be offered to the senior employees in the classification, able to perform the work. g) When a vacancy occurs from a steady shift job in a classification, the Company will review requests from employees in the same classification, by seniority, who would like to permanently change their shift. h) The company agrees that the placement of employees on the night shift will be as follows: i) The company will solicit volunteers in the classification to work the steady night shift. ii) The company will post any steady night shift positions. iii) In the absence of a sufficient number of volunteers to meet the manpower requirements on the night shift, the most junior employees within the plant will be required to report to the steady night shift, with the exception of Skilled Trades employees and the Plating Technical Associate classification where the most junior employee within the classification will be required to report to the steady night shift.

Shifts/Start-Stop Times a) The following shifts listed below will be maintained for the life of the agreement for all employees unless changes are agreed between the Company and the Union. First shift 6:50 am to 3:00 pm Second shift 3:00 pm to 11:10 pm Third shift 10:40 pm to 6:50 am NOTE!!   • Meal/Rest Periods All nurses shall receive an unpaid meal period of one-half (1/2) hour. Nurses required to remain on duty or in the Hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All nurses shall receive one (1) fifteen

  • Rest Periods All employees shall have two (2), fifteen (15) minute rest periods in each work period in excess of six (6) hours, one (1) rest period to be granted before and one (1) after the meal period. Employees working a shift of three and one-half (3½) hours, but not more than six (6) hours, shall receive one (1) rest period during such a shift. Rest periods shall not begin until one (1) hour after the commencement of work or not later than one (1) hour before either the meal period or the end of the shift. Rest periods shall be taken without loss of pay to the employees.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods On completion of not less than three hours work after commencement time or on completion of not less than two hours work after the meal break weekly Employees will become entitled to a rest period of ten minutes duration. Such rest period for pay purposes will be treated as time worked.

  • Rest Period During each normal work day, Saturdays, Sundays, and shift work, employees will be entitled to two (2) ten (10) minute paid rest periods to be scheduled and observed. When working a four (4) day, ten (10) hour schedule, the rest period will be fifteen (15) minutes each. - one (1) rest period at the mid-way point of the first half of the normal hours of work; - one (1) rest period at the mid-point of the second half of the normal hours of work.   • Additional Rest Periods When an employee performs authorized overtime work of at least three (3) hours duration, the Hospital will schedule a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration.

  • Number of Interest Periods There may be no more than 6 different Interest Periods for LIBOR Loans outstanding at the same time.

  • Rest Period After Overtime (a) When overtime work is necessary, it will, wherever reasonably practicable, be so arranged that employees have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive days or shifts, including overtime. (b) An employee, other than a casual employee, who works so much overtime between the termination of their ordinary work on one day and the commencement of their ordinary work on the next day, that they have not had at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between those times, will be released after completion of such overtime, until they have had 10 consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for ordinary working time occurring during such a absence. (c) If, on the instruction of the employer, an employee resumes or continues to work without having had 10 consecutive hours off duty, they will be paid at the rate of double time until released from duty for such period. The employee will then be entitled to be absent until they have had 10 consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for rostered ordinary hours occurring during the absence.

  • Lunch and Rest Periods ‌ A. Each employee working more than four (4) hours per day shall be entitled to a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour duty free lunch period without pay. B. Employees shall receive a fifteen (15) minute rest period during each four (4) hours of work not to exceed two (2) such breaks during a regular eight (8) hour day, whenever practicable. C. The parties agree to comply with ODE regulations.

  • Duration of normal Interest Periods Subject to Clauses 6.3 and 6.4, each Interest Period shall be: (a) 3 or 6 months; or (b) such other period (as proposed by the Borrower to the Agent not later than 11:00 a.m. (Hamburg time) 5 Business Days before the commencement of the Interest Period) as the Agent may, with the authorisation of the Majority Lenders, agree with the Borrower (failing which the Interest Period shall be three months).

  • Interest Periods In connection with each LIBOR Rate Loan, the Borrower, by giving notice at the times described in Section 3.1(a), shall elect an interest period (each, an "Interest Period") to be applicable to such Loan, which Interest Period shall be a period of one (1), two (2), three (3) or six (6) months with respect to each LIBOR Rate Loan; provided that: (i) the Interest Period shall commence on the date of advance of or conversion to any LIBOR Rate Loan or and, in the case of immediately successive Interest Periods, each successive Interest Period shall commence on the date on which the next preceding Interest Period expires; (ii) if any Interest Period would otherwise expire on a day that is not a Business Day, such Interest Period shall expire on the next succeeding Business Day; provided, that if any Interest Period with respect to a LIBOR Rate Loan would otherwise expire on a day that is not a Business Day but is a day of the month after which no further Business Day occurs in such month, such Interest Period shall expire on the next preceding Business Day; (iii) any Interest Period with respect to a LIBOR Rate Loan that begins on the last Business Day of a calendar month (or on a day for which there is no numerically corresponding day in the calendar month at the end of such Interest Period) shall end on the last Business Day of the relevant calendar month at the end of such Interest Period; (iv) no Interest Period shall be permitted to extend beyond the Termination Date; and (v) there shall be no more than five (5) Interest Periods outstanding at any time.
