Short-term Temporary Employees. A short-term temporary employee will receive one week of personal leave after four weeks continuous service and 0.2 weeks of personal leave for each subsequent four weeks of continuous service up to a maximum of two weeks in the employee’s first twelve months of service.

Short-term Temporary Employees. Until daily accrual of personal leave is implemented, the provisions contained in subclauses F4.18 to F4.20 will apply to short term temporary employees. To avoid doubt, subclauses F4.18 to F4.20 will cease to operate from the date of implementation of daily accrual of personal leave in accordance with subclause F4.9.

No employee serving in a short-term position for one hundred ninety-five (195) working days in any one (1) fiscal year shall be employed in any other short-term capacity for the remainder of the fiscal year. d. If a short-term position is utilized for more than one hundred ninety-five (195) working days, the position shall become a bargaining unit position.

Short-term Temporary Employees. A short-term temporary employee is defined as an individual whose scheduled or actual employment does not exceed ninety (90) days and is hired to fill a temporary position. A temporary position is a position created by the District with the actual intent that the work of the position is non-recurring and will only exist for the period of time within the school year. Short-term temporary positions will be posted per Section 10.8. Short-term temporary employees are paid on a timesheet at Step 1 on Schedule A. Section 1.5.3.1. At the end of the short-term temporary employment, these employees shall be considered having fulfilled their service to the District and are not subject to the Layoff and Re- Employment provisions of Article X. Section 1.5.3.2. Those short-term temporary employees rehired into the same assignment within job classification the subsequent school year shall be considered a regular employee and subject to all terms and conditions of this Agreement.

  • Temporary Employees 3.3.1 A temporary employee is an employee who is hired for short-term work assignment which is not ongoing (i.e. normally 12 months or less and not extending beyond 24 months). The employee's benefits and working conditions are as per Article 34 (Temporary Employees).

  • Temporary Employee Employees may be hired for a specific term not to exceed six (6) months, to replace an employee who will be on approved leave of absence, absence due to WSIB disability, sick leave, long term disability or to perform a special non-recurring task. This term may be extended a further six (6) months on mutual agreement of the Union, employee and Hospital or by the Hospital on its own up to twelve (12) months where the leave of the person being replaced extends that far. The period of employment of such persons will not exceed the absentee's leave. The release or discharge of such persons shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration. This clause would not preclude such employees from using the job posting provision under the collective agreement and any successful applicant who has completed his probation period will be credited with the appropriate seniority. The Hospital will outline to employees selected to fill such temporary vacancies and the Union, the circumstances giving rise to the vacancy, and the special conditions relating to such employment.

  • Temporary Employment Temporary service in a position immediately preceding certification to that position, without interruption, shall count towards satisfaction of the probationary period. It will also count toward benefits eligibility (without retroactivity for benefits) and pay progression requirements, provided the duties of the temporary and permanent assignments are the same.
