Sixth Instructional Period. A. All secondary teachers (7 through 12) will have the opportunity to volunteer for a sixth instructional assignment in areas where class sections may be available for the following school year. B. Any elementary teacher who volunteers for a seventh period in lieu of a duty will be compensated in accordance with provisions in the contract dealing with a sixth instructional period. This will be subject to approval of Superintendent. C. Science teachers who teach a sixth period because of a lab assignment will be compensated in accordance with provisions in the contract dealing with a sixth instructional period, pro-rated. D. Any teacher who volunteers or is assigned to teach a sixth instructional period or advisory shall be paid a stipend in the amount of $7319.00 for the 2017-2018 school year, $7447.00 for the 2018-2019 school year, E. In the event the Superintendent shall determine that there is a need for the assignment of a sixth instructional period in any program in the District, the Superintendent shall seek volunteers from among the current certified staff members to serve in the sixth instructional period by posting such position. In the event two (2) or more duly certified teachers volunteer for assignment to teach the sixth instructional period, such assignment shall be based upon seniority. Department directors will only be eligible for a sixth period assignment in the event that no full- time faculty member in the aforementioned programs has volunteered for assignment. F. In the event that no duly certified current staff member volunteers to serve in the sixth instructional period assignment within three weeks of its initial posting, the Superintendent shall have the right to appoint a duly certified member of the staff to fulfill such assignment upon the following terms: i. The Superintendent may not create more than four (4) sixth instructional period assignments in a tenure area during any school year. The assignment of a fourth sixth period shall be voluntary and will not be used to reduce existing staff. In the event a Director teaches an additional period, the sixth period stipend will apply. ii. During the life of the Agreement the Superintendent may not involuntarily assign the same teacher to a sixth instructional period in succeeding school years unless and until all other duly certified teachers iii. Sixth Instructional Period. A sixth teaching period may be assigned to a secondary teacher in accordance with the following provisions: a) A duty period shall not be assigned when a teacher is assigned a sixth instructional period. b) To be eligible for this assignment, teachers must possess a valid certification in the applicable subject area. c) If more than one unit member volunteers for a sixth teacher period, the teacher with the most seniority in the applicable certification area shall be given the assignment. However, for each assignment the District has the right of refusal for up to one (1) teacher who would otherwise be eligible based upon seniority. d) If there are no volunteers for a sixth teaching period assignment, the District reserves the right to appoint the least senior teacher in the applicable certification area. However, for each assignment the District has the right of refusal for up to one (1) teacher who would otherwise be assigned based upon inverse order of seniority. e) Compensation for this assignment shall be as follows: $8,350.00
Sixth Instructional Period. 9.8.1. The Board may assign a sixth instructional period to high school teachers who volunteer for a sixth period teaching assignment. 9.8.2. Compensation for the sixth instructional period shall be paid to the high school teachers on a per diem basis in the amount of twenty percent (20%) of the teachers’ respective daily base salaries, inclusive of longevity payments, for those teachers teaching a full sixth instructional period, i.e., thirty-six (36) classes per six (6) day cycle. 9.8.3. Sixth Instructional Period. 9.8.1. The Board may assign a sixth instructional period to high school teachers who volunteer for a sixth period teaching assignment. 9.8.2. Compensation for the sixth instructional period shall be paid to the high school teachers on a per diem basis in the amount of one-fifth (1/5) of the teachers' respective daily base salaries for actual periods worked. 9.8.3. The parties understand and agree that any high school teacher who ceases to teach six periods per day as part of his or her regular teaching load in any year will cease to receive the benefits described herein and shall receive the compensation level that would apply if said teacher had not been carrying a six-period teaching load in that year. 9.8.4. The parties understand and agree that neither the receipt of the benefits described herein, nor the fact that a high school teacher is teaching or has taught a sixth period per day will have any effect on that teacher’s step level assignment, entitlement to seniority, entitlement to tenure, or entitlement to assignment or any other right or benefit that may be available to employees of the Board. 9.8.5. High school teachers who agree to mentor an Independent Study Enrichment Course shall be compensated according to the home instruction rate set forth in Article 20.9 for those hours approved by the principal.

(b) Unless otherwise expressly provided, all Instructions shall continue in full force and effect until canceled or superseded. (c) Bank may (in its sole discretion and without affecting any part of this Section 3.1) seek clarification or confirmation of an Instruction from an Authorized Person and may decline to act upon an Instruction if it does not receive clarification or confirmation satisfactory to it. Bank shall not, except as provided in Section 7.1 hereof, be liable for any loss arising from any delay while it seeks such clarification or confirmation. (d) In executing or paying a payment order Bank may rely upon the identifying number (e.g. Fedwire routing number or account) of any party as instructed in the payment order. Customer assumes full responsibility for any inconsistency within an Instruction between the name and identifying number of any party in payment orders issued to Bank in Customer's name.

For purposes of this Section, Proper Instructions shall include instructions received by the Custodian pursuant to any multi-party agreement which requires a segregated asset account in accordance with Section 2.9 hereof.

  • Customer Instructions The documentation shipped with the returned defective Boeing Product may include specific technical instructions for additional work to be performed on the Boeing Product. The absence of such instructions will evidence Customer's authorization for Boeing to perform all necessary Corrections and work required to return the Boeing Product to a serviceable condition.
