Special Inspections i. CONSULTANT shall furnish the materials testing and special inspections required to be performed for the Project. Special Inspection and materials testing includes, but is not limited to:
1) Soils testing for HazMat compliance
2) Soils compaction and relevant testing
3) Asphalt compaction and relevant testing
4) Concrete sampling and testing
5) Structural steel welding
6) Coating inspection
7) Electrical inspection
8) Special inspections as listed in the project specific design drawings and specs.
ii. CONSULTANT shall schedule and coordinate the material testing services and have responsibility for the specialty inspections and testing services.
Special Inspections. Upon receipt of a request from the Issuing PHA for a special HQS inspection to address non- life threatening matters t he Host PHA will schedule and complete the special inspection within fifteen (15) calendar days of the date that the Host PHA has confirmed receipt of the request. For life-threatening emergencies, the PHAs will work together to inspect as quickly as feasible. The Issuing PHA may request that one of their staff be present at these special inspections. The Host PHA will xxxx the Issuing PHA a fee for this service, as per the agreement detailed in Exhibit I of this MOA entitled Fee Schedule.
Special Inspections. 1. The International Atomic Energy Agency and the Council established by this Treaty have the power of carrying out special inspections in the following cases :
(a) In the case of the International Atomic Energy Agency, in accordance with the agreements referred to in article 13 of this Treaty;
(b) In the case of the Council:
(i) When so requested, the reasons for the request being stated, by any Party which suspects that some activity prohibited by this Treaty has been carried out or is about to be carried out, either in the territory of any other Party or in any other place on such latter Party's behalf, the Council shall immediately arrange for such an inspection in accordance with article 10, paragraph 5;
(ii) When requested by any Party which has been suspected of or charged with having violated this Treaty, the Council shall immediately arrange for the special inspection requested in accordance with article 10, paragraph 5. The above requests will be made to the Council through the General Secretary.
2. The costs and expenses of any special inspection carried out under paragraph 1, sub-paragraph (b), sections (i) and (ii) of this article shall be borne by the requesting Party or Parties, except where the Council concludes on the basis of the report on the special inspection that, in view of the circumstances existing in the case, such costs and expenses should be borne by the Agency.
3. The General Conference shall formulate the procedures for the organization and execution of the special inspections carried out in accordance with paragraph 1, sub-paragraph (b), sections (i) and (ii) of this article.
4. The Contracting Parties undertake to grant the inspectors carrying out such special inspections full and free access to all places and all information which may be necessary for the performance of their duties and which are directly and intimately connected with the suspicion of violation of this Treaty. If so requested by the authorities of the Contracting Party in whose territory the inspection is carried out, the inspectors designated by the General Conference shall be accompanied by representatives of said authorities, provided that this does not in any way delay or hinder the work of the inspectors.
5. The Council shall immediately transmit to all the Parties, through the General Secretary, a copy of any report resulting from special inspections.

Special Inspections. The Consultant as Special Inspector shall provide preconstruction and construction phase services as required by Section 1704 of the NC Building Code, and in accordance with the specific proposal attached to the IPPA.
Special Inspections. The drawings and specifications prepared by the Professional shall include specifications for inspection and testing services during construction as required for code and regulatory compliance, or as directed by the Owner. The Professional shall prepare a draft Statement of Special Inspections utilizing the Owner’s form. The testing services to be provided by an approved laboratory or engineer through a direct contract with the Owner shall be identified as well as the testing to be conducted by the Contractor, the Professional, or a third party not under contract with the Owner.
Special Inspections. To the extent special inspections are required by law, by any building official with jurisdiction, or by the Construction Documents, the Owner will provide the services of a qualified special inspections firm (or firms) to conduct special inspections. The Architect shall cooperate with the Owner to determine necessary or advisable special inspections, and assist the Owner with the review of proposals for such services.
Special Inspections. 1. A special inspection may be scheduled to enable HUD or others to inspect a sample of the housing stock maintained by the MHC.
2. In cases where the MHC has cause to believe a problem exists.
Special Inspections. 7.2.2.1 At all times during construction of the Work, Contractor shall permit Metro, the Architect or Engineer, and Special Inspectors, or any representatives of federal, state, and local agencies having jurisdiction over the Work, to visit and inspect the Work, the materials and the manufacture and preparation of such materials, and subject the Work and materials to inspection and testing to determine if the Work conforms to the requirements of the Contract Documents. Contractor shall maintain proper facilities and safe access for all such inspections.
7.2.2.2 The Contractor is responsible for scheduling and coordination of special inspections. Contractor shall be diligent in scheduling special inspections and make every effort to combine special inspections to avoid unnecessary budget impacts.
7.2.2.3 The Contract Documents or regulatory agencies may require that portions of the Work be observed, reviewed, tested, or inspected before they are obscured or covered. Similarly, upon request, the Project Manager is entitled to observe portions of the Work before they are covered or obscured. Contractor shall be solely responsible for notifying Project Manager at least two (2) working days prior to performing such Work so that necessary arrangements for inspection and testing can be made. If the Contractor covers or obscures a portion of the Work that is required or requested to be observed, it will uncover the Work for observation and bear any cost associated with that activity without a change in Contract Time.
7.2.2.4 The Project Manager may request to see a portion of the Work that has been covered regardless of the requirements of the Contract Documents, regulatory agencies, or a prior request. Thereafter the Contractor must comply with Metro's request. If, on inspection by the Project Manager, the portion of the Work that is uncovered is found to be in accordance with the Contract Documents, Metro will bear all costs associated with that activity and provide additional Contract Time if that activity would cause the Contractor to incur liquidated damages. But if, upon inspection by the Project Manager, the portion of the Work that is uncovered is found not to be in accordance with the Contract Documents, the Contractor will correct the Work and bear any cost associated with that activity without a change in Contract Time. Special Inspections. A All work or materials covered by the Contract documents shall be subject to inspection at any and all times by the applicable Engineer. If any material does not conform to the Contract documents, or does not have a favorably reviewed submittal status; then the Contractor shall, within three days after being notified by the Engineer, remove said material from the premises; and if said material has been installed, the entire expense of removing and replacing same, including any cutting and patching that may be necessary, shall be borne by the Contractor.
