Services During Construction. Attend a pre‐construction meeting with the Contractor and City to prepare for the project. Review and respond to requests for information from the Contractor. Services During Construction. A scope of work and fee estimate for the following tasks will be developed at a later date and may be incorporated into this Agreement through an amendment executed by both parties. . Task 4 – SCADA System Modifications Approach This scope of work is separated into five components where applicable:
Services During Construction a. CONSULTANT shall review submittals from the contractor for conformance with the Contract Documents. CONSULTANT shall review and return the submittal comments to the City within fourteen calendar days.
b. CONSULTANT shall prepare written response to the Request for Information (RFI) submitted by the contractor. CONSULTANT shall review, comment and return the RFI responses within seven calendar days.
c. CONSULTANT shall review and validate the Contract Change Order requests submitted by the Contractor for accuracy and correctness, as requested by the City.
d. As requested, CONSULTANT shall attend periodic Project Progress Meetings with the Contractor. Please allow for one meeting per month, at the minimum, during the construction phase.
e. CONSULTANT shall provide the technical support to the City during start up and commissioning of the new equipment including; pad mounted switches, transformers, load centers etc. CONSULTANT shall work with Contractor and equipment manufacturer’s representatives, as requested by the City.
f. CONSULTANT shall assist the City in monitoring, documenting, and/or validating any testing required by the permitting agencies.
g. CONSULTANT shall review the “as-built” or “red-line” drawings and documents maintained by the Contractor during construction. Upon construction completion, CONSULTANT shall prepare record drawings. The record drawings shall consist of annotated contract drawings and electronic files showing changes in design and construction. CONSULTANT to determine the extent to which power system harmonics are affecting the electrical system in the RWQCP through analysis of data that is being recorded by various existing power quality instruments as part of Task 1. If CONSULTANT finds through its analysis of this data that harmonics are not impairing the operation of or cause damage to RWQCP equipment, this task of an extensive harmonics study shall be deleted from the Scope of Services. If CONSULTANT finds through its analysis of this data that such as study is needed, it will utilize the services of a 3rd party vendor which will specify filters that will reduce harmonics in the RWQCP electrical system to levels specified in IEEE Standard 519.
Services During Construction. Except as expressly stated in the Scope of Work, A/E shall not, and shall not be responsible to supervise, direct or have control over the Work of CLIENT’s or Property Owner’s contractors, subcontractors or other service or material providers, including any designated general contractor of CLIENT or Property Owner or any subcontractors thereof (generally and collectively referred to as the “Contractors”) nor have any responsibility for the construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures selected by the Contractors nor for the Contractors’ safety precautions or programs in connection with the Work. These above rights and responsibilities are solely those of and between CLIENT and the applicable Contractors. CLIENT agrees that A/E is not responsible for the jobsite condition or on-site worker safety, except as otherwise expressly stated in the Scope of Work. Except where prohibited by applicable law, A/E shall not be responsible for any acts or omissions of the Contractors, including any subcontractor, any entity performing any portions of the Work or any agents or employees of any of them. A/E does not guarantee the performance of any of the Contractors and shall not be responsible for the Contractors’ failure to perform their applicable work in accordance with the Contract Documents or any applicable laws, codes, rules or regulations. As used in these Standard Conditions, the term “Contract Documents” refers to the construction plans, specifications, work schedules, work conditions and other matters between CLIENT and/or the Property Owner and their respective Contractors for the build-out or construction services relating to the Project. A/E shall not be required to sign any document, no matter by whom requested, that would result in A/E having to certify, guarantee, or warrant the existence of conditions whose existence A/E cannot reasonably ascertain. CLIENT agrees not to make resolution of any dispute with A/E or payment of any amount due to A/E contingent upon A/E signing any such document.
Services During Construction. 11.6.1 The Contractor shall undertake the following responsibilities with respect to the Progress Schedule:
(a) Review proposed Progress Schedule(s), and any updates thereto, submitted by the Subcontractor(s) and direct the Subcontractor(s) to revise the same as necessary prior to Contractor submission of the Progress Schedule, or any updates thereto, to the Commissioner for approval in accordance with Article 8 hereof.
(b) Take appropriate action to ensure compliance with the Progress Schedule by the Subcontractor(s).
(c) Review the adequacy of the personnel and equipment of the Subcontractor(s) and the availability of necessary materials and supplies to ensure compliance with the Progress Schedule.
(d) Notify the Commissioner of any anticipated delays in fabrication or construction.
(e) Take appropriate action to minimize delays to the Project caused by labor disputes during construction.
(f) If performance of the Work by the Subcontractor(s) falls behind the Progress Schedule, advise the Commissioner of the same and make recommendations as to what methods should be adopted to make up for lost time.
11.6.2 Review and evaluate the means and methods of construction and/or remediation proposed by the Subcontractor(s) and direct changes as necessary in the event the Contractor reasonably believes that such proposed means and methods of construction and/or remediation will constitute or create a hazard to the work, or persons or property, or will not produce finished work in accordance with the terms of the Construction Documents.

Services During Construction. Any construction inspection or testing provided by CONSULTANT is for the purpose of determining compliance by contractors with the functional provisions of project documents only. CLIENT agrees that CONSULTANT will have no inspection responsibilities at the jobsite except to the extent specifically provided for in the agreed upon scope of work. CONSULTANT shall not be held in any way to guarantee any contractor’s work, nor to assume responsibility for means, methods or appliances used by any contractor nor to assume responsibility for a contractor’s compliance with laws and regulations or for contractor’s errors, omissions, or defective work. CLIENT agrees that in accordance with generally accepted construction practices, the construction contractor will be required to assume sole and complete responsibility for jobsite conditions during the course of construction of the project, including safety of all persons and property and that this responsibility shall be continuous and not be limited to normal working hours. CLIENT agrees to require in all construction contracts for the project, provisions that CLIENT and CONSULTANT shall be defended and indemnified by the contractor and its subcontractors and named additional insureds on contractor’s and subcontractor’s insurance. Any statements of estimated construction costs furnished by CONSULTANT are based on professional opinions and judgment, and CONSULTANT will not be responsible for fluctuations in construction costs.
