STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. Inasmuch as this Agreement provides orderly procedures for the settlement of employee grievances, and for the handling of other matters, the parties hereto agree that there shall be no strikes or lockouts during the life of this Agreement. The words, "strikes" and "lockouts" as used herein are agreed to have the meanings defined for those words in the present Ontario Labour Relations Act.
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. (13) The Union recognizes that it is the responsibility of the Security Officer to guard and protect the plants, premises, material, facilities and property of the Employer's client at all times and under all circumstances. The Union agrees that its members will faithfully discharge this responsibility during the life of this Agreement. The parties hereto agree that there shall be no strikes or lockouts during the life of this Agreement. The words "strikes" and "lockouts" as used herein are agreed to have the meanings defined for these words in the Ontario Labour Relations Act. SECTION VI
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. 5.0 It is the intent of the parties to this Agreement that the procedures herein shall serve as a means for peaceable settlement of all disputes that may arise between them.
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. (5)(a) Neither the Union nor any of its officials or representatives nor any Union member shall during the life of this Agreement take part in, call, countenance, or encourage any strike or any stoppage or curtailment of any of the Company's operations, or picket any of the Company's operations, or picket any of the Company's premises, or otherwise restrict or interfere with the Company's production. The Union will not cause or permit its members to cause, nor will any member of the Union take part in any strike or stoppage of any of the Company's operations, or picket any of the Company's plants or premises because of any labour dispute, nor will the Union authorize such a strike, stoppage or picketing. Any breach of this clause by any employee shall constitute just cause for discipline, including discharge. The Company shall not during the life of this Agreement engage in any lockout at the Power House.
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. 6.01 Since the Agreement provides for an orderly method for the adjustments of disputes, all strikes, stoppages, slowdowns or lockouts are prohibited. If, however, a strike, stoppage or slowdown should occur, the Union shall immediately order the workers to return to work. If a strike, stoppage, slowdown or lockout occurs, the aggrieved party shall have the right to demand an immediate hearing before the Arbitrator or Board of Arbitration on four (4) hours notice.
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. 7.1 During the term of this Agreement, the County shall not lock out any employees. In the event the County violates this provision, the Union shall be free to take such appropriate legal and administrative action as may be available under relevant law, statute or regulation.
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. 5.01 Neither the Union or any member thereof, nor any nurse in the Bargaining Unit shall take part in, or call or encourage any strike, sit-down, slow-down, picket or any suspension of work against the Company which shall in any way affect the operations of the Company, nor shall the Company engage in any lockout.
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. A. Subject to the provisions of Section XIX hereof, the Union will not cause or officially sanction its members to cause or take part in any strike (including sit-downs, stay-ins, slow- downs, or any other stoppage of work) over any dispute during the life of this Agreement. This includes, without limitation, disputes which are within the proper scope of the grievance procedure provided in this Agreement (a) until such grievance procedure has been fully exhausted, and (b) thereafter except as provided in paragraph B. below. The Company will not lock out any employee, nor will the Company transfer work from any job because of a dispute which is within the proper scope of the grievance procedure provided herein, until such grievance procedure has been fully exhausted.
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. A. This Agreement provides for an orderly adjustment of differences. Strikes, stoppages, and lockouts are therefore prohibited. If a strike, stoppage or lockout shall occur then the parties agree that any remedy sought by either party arising from such act shall be resolved through the medium of the arbitration machinery and the aggrieved party shall have the right to demand an immediate hearing on twenty-four (24) hours notice before the Arbitrator.
STRIKES, STOPPAGES AND LOCKOUTS. It is the intent of the parties to this Agreement that the procedure, herein described, shall serve as a means for peaceable and final settlement of disputes that may arise between them. During the term of this Agreement, including any extensions, renewals or modifications thereof, the Employer and the Union agree there shall be no lockouts and that there will be no strike of any kind, boycott, picketing, work stoppage, slow-down or any other type of interference, coercive or otherwise, with the Employer’s business. In the event a violation of this Article IV occurs, the parties agree the Employer has the right to discipline up to, and including, discharge, employees engaging in, participating in or encouraging such unlawful action.
