Student Academic Grievances. Student grievances of academic matters shall be the purview of the Academic Grievance Committee of Academic Senate and shall follow the procedures established by that committee. In addition to the matters below, students may petition the Academic Grievance Committee to determine whether there are other academic matters that merit a hearing:
Student Academic Grievances. Students who disagree with an academic decision made by an instructor or administrator, including the assignment of grades or decisions about program or degree requirements or eligibility, needs to follow the process outlined in Section 500 of the Student Conduct policies at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxx.xxx/policy/student_conduct/#academicgrievances.
Student Academic Grievances. If the complaint rises to the level of a grievance and the grievance has been adjudicated against the faculty member, the written statement of the Grievance Hearing Panel’s decision shall be forwarded to the faculty member’s official personnel file (Article 19.3).
Student Academic Grievances. This procedure is intended to be used when specific actions of a faculty member have a specific adverse effect on the academic performance or academic record of a student. Student complaints about employment relations or other campus activities or policies extending beyond the immediate teaching/learning context are subject to other University policies. Student complaints alleging unlawful discrimination not intrinsically related to the academic process should be filed with the University EEO/AA Officer. Complaints regarding the general quality of a faculty member's teaching are to be addressed through the faculty evaluation process.
