Student Placement. School will make placement based on its professional judgment, and as it deems the best fit for the student and school. If student is accepted by school, I (we) understand and agree that student will agree to all of the school’s rules, procedures and policies, which are incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein.
Student Placement. The student’s placement in the program listed above shall be pursuant to an Individualized Educational Program (IEP). The Enrolling District shall conduct any subsequent Individualized Educational Program Team meetings which may be convened after the student’s initial placement in the program listed above. In the event that after the execution of this agreement there is a significant change in the costs or level of special education programs or services required by the student, the Enrolling District will notify the Resident District within
Student Placement. Any student who menaces a teacher or who vandalizes or deliberately damages a teacher's real or personal property, shall not be placed in a class or activity of that teacher, without the teacher's consent, for the remainder of the school year or a semester, whichever is greater. This section shall be interpreted and applied consistent with student rights under applicable law.
Student Placement. 8.1 The parties recognize the existence of educational and social obligations to students regarding the provisions of temporary placement opportunities such as internships, training, and co-ops. Nothing in this Agreement shall preclude the Authority from providing temporary work opportunities as the result of participation in government-sponsored programs, where the Authority is not the employer.
8.2 The Union agrees to the placement of students on the following basis:
(a) The student is enrolled in a recognized educational institution.
(b) Duration of the placement with the Authority shall not be in excess of five (5) months in any twelve (12) month period, unless a longer period of placement is required by a cooperative study program work term.
(c) The Authority will provide the name of the student, the start and finish dates and the name of the educational institution involved, stated objectives of the placement, and a description of the work the student will be involved in to the Union prior to the student commencing the assignment.
(d) Where the Authority assigns a student to assist a production unit, the Authority shall designate a member of the bargaining unit to oversee the students’ activities.
8.3 The Authority will not engage students to displace a bargaining unit employee.
Student Placement. The principal and the teachers at the elementary level will meet prior to the close of the school year to discuss the placement of students for the following year and give careful consideration to providing the best learning environment for all students, including combination classes.
Student Placement. Every attempt will be made to give notice of new placements to affected employee(s) at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance*, except in an emergency or atypical situation (e.g., including placements made to avoid out-of-school suspensions under P.A. 99- 456) or when a program’s construct is such that these situations arise more frequently. So far as possible, diagnostic information which relates to the child’s social development, behavioral characteristics, and academic functioning, as well as other potential child- related problems, will be provided to the teacher of the instructional program to which the student is assigned. * “At least twenty-four (24) hours in advance” is intended to mean a full school day.
Student Placement. The regular classroom teacher will be informed of the placement of any special education students in his/her classroom.
Student Placement. 3.16.1 The referring teacher shall be invited to participate in any conference involving a change in elementary student placement within the school. Normally, such conferences shall be scheduled to begin within the teacher workday.
3.16.2 Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) students shall be equitably distributed whenever possible.
3.16.3 Advanced notification shall take place prior to implementation of a least restrictive environment program. Appropriate in- service training shall begin as soon as possible.
3.16.4 Teacher input shall be considered prior to an administrative decision to retain or not retain a student.
3.16.5 New students enrolling in a school shall normally be assigned to the teacher(s) with the lowest student class load.
3.16.6 The District shall not assign an individual with exceptional needs to an exceptional education class until previous placement has been verified.
Student Placement. Each elementary building principal, with input from staff, shall communicate to staff a plan describing elementary student placements for the following year. Principals will make a good faith effort to communicate changes that are made after initial student placements are complete.
Student Placement. K-5 The building administration will make a reasonable effort to equitably assign to classrooms Special Education students, students with 504 plans, and students with district adopted behavior plans.
