Ten Hours of Rest. Consecutive Shifts / Ten Hour Rest Period: An employee who works their entire shift or longer will receive no less than ten (10) hours of time off before returning to duty or other required work assignments (required on-call emergency response, training, etc.). In no event shall an employee be required to work more than sixteen (16) consecutive hours. In the event the ten (10) hour rest period between shifts includes time that the employee would normally be scheduled to work, the Employee may use any compensated time off available (vacation, floating holiday, comp time or non- compensated time off) to cover for said period. However, an employee will return to work to complete his/her normal shift if there is any time remaining on his/her shift after the ten (10) hour rest period is completed. These provisions do not apply to special events or voluntary training. The ten (10) hour rest period requirement can be waived if mutually agreed to by the employee and the employee’s supervisor.   • Days of Rest An employee shall be granted two (2) consecutive days of rest during each seven (7) day period unless operational requirements do not so permit.

  • Period of Retention All books, records, reports, and statements relevant to this Contract must be retained a minimum three years and for five years if any federal funds are used under this Contract. The retention period runs from the date of payment for the relevant goods or services by the City, or from the date of termination of this Contract, whichever is later. Retention time shall be extended when an audit is scheduled or in progress for a period reasonably necessary to complete an audit and/or to complete any administrative and judicial litigation which may ensue.

  • Consecutive Hours of Work The daily hours of work for each employee shall be consecutive.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest (a) When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu.
